Quoted from Bublehead:

I almost felt like posting something just now, but decided, screw it, I am going to go play some Monster Bash. My appologies to those still waiting.

bah. I'm still ailing from the pimps (resellers) - I bought into the hype. Lesson learned. Pinball is big business for many folks and we have pimps hyping product just like any industry.

Ordered MBRLE October 23rd from Game Exchange Colorado just 5 days after when the process opened up, still waiting, maybe I will get #1200. I waited 18 months for MMRLE so that is 2 years just waiting for CGC NIB pins so I'm tired of waiting and no more NIB I'll just buy HUO from now on.

Quoted from Oneangrymo:

Well delivery guys were nice and stuff but man they don’t know anythjng about delivering a pinball machine. Kept rubbing the back end on the cement ground . Each time they rubbed it I got so scared . Tilted it on the cement with no protection I told them enough. ‘Some mild scratch the back side but otherwise fine .. phew . If I didn’t tell them to stop it would have been a disaster

That's "white glove" service ????

Yea white glove service is usually a joke, as they often have no idea how to handle and set up pinball machines.

#5255 5 years ago

I am very happy with mine. It is such a beauty and plays great. I am glad however that I was patient and waited later in the run (I purposely asked to wait even though I ordered early). Anything production tends to be better later in the run when kinks are found.

It came via Fed-ex and had no issues.

Quoted from f3honda4me:

My friend has an OG MB and his doesn't do this, his left bride ramp is butter all the way. I'll have to look at his wireform next time I'm there to see if his looks aligned differently. On mine, strong/good direct shots are actually worse, as the ball rides the side of the wireform up high and then crashes down into the wireform, then stops and rolls back down as a miss. Weaker direct shots perform the best on mine.

my original MB would have balls hang in the left bride ramp. Never figured it out, played one other that does it also.

Quoted from Oneangrymo:

Le coming today wife found out , wants to move out ... I guess I’m done collecting it’s all over

man I had my B66 in the house for months before she figured it out!

Buy an escalera and you'll be able to set up or tear down all your pins by yourself. Pays for itself after about 8 pin moves.

Can u tell me which model u have ?

Quoted from Oneangrymo:

Escalera RLA-HC (66” w/forklift), I also got the added pinball lift plate accessory so I could lift my pins myself using the forks so put on legs etc.

If you're seriously considering one, call ZMeny Zach at flip n out pinball https://www.flipnoutpinball.com/

He is an authorized distributor and talked with me on the phone a ton before I bought mine. He can also usually get you better pricing than what you find on the internet.

This has made my whole process easier. I open the game standing up outside, shimmy it out of the box, and then strap the escalera (without forks, takes 30 seconds to remove them) to it and hault it downstairs. I then leave the pin standing, and get the forks and lift plate onto my escalera (takes 30 seconds, no joke), at which point I move it over to where the pin is. I am able to lay the pin down myself onto the lift plate. Crank the plate up to lift the pin, install the legs, set it down and cut the shipping strap that holds the head to the pin. Put the head up. Last, lift the pin again using the escalera, and wheel it into place!

I'm gonna do a video when I get my next pin to show how easy it is. There are a few pics from when I get my WOZ: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/woz-fan-club-members-only/page/139#post-4910016

Monster Bash LE #1242 in da house! There was a mishap in shipping though and we got incredibly lucky. Check out the pictures of the forklift stab into the box and the only real damage is a scratch on the bottom and a tiny bit of damage to the bottom of the side decal. We are not too concerned about it, but will call Tommy at Nitro and let him and Chicago Gaming know that this happened. So so so so lucky and stoked to own our very first game!

Is CGC going to send a replacement decal?

#5263 5 years ago

Still have to get over there and finish unboxing to get better pics. My cousin just snapped those while unloading it at the MFP office. They should send a new decal, though we might just let them know and leave it, it's kind of a cool 'we got lucky' story.

Quoted from LoganJK:

So are the LE's sold out? close to being sold out?

Can try Pinball Star. I just canceled my order.

I found a scratch on the decal with my TNA after unboxing, and Spooky sent me a new decal. I've still got it wrapped up in the tube for the future. If I ever go to sell it (no plans currently), having replacement decal will make future buyers happier. Whether or not you plan to fix the issue yourself, having a replacement on-hand is probably a good idea for the future.

That's a good call. I will definitely be doing that.

Quoted from BryanBPH:

Thanks - I should have mentioned I'm familiar with how to adjust them as you have described, I was just more curious if others were having this same issue right out of the box? Personally, one of my least favorite things in the world to do is adjust pop bumper switches (even using the special tool made for adjusting switches), so I was disappointed that I already feel like I need to do this on a new in box game. Minor issue I suppose, especially considering the sound issue I reported in my previous post which makes the game currently unplayable - which is sad since I waited almost 6 months to get it, and it's already not working on it's first day in it's new home

My NIB Munsters LE from Stern is doing the exact same thing; ball just rolls into pop bumper from the top and ... nothing happens! Aggravating! working on adjustments tonight and tomorrow. You have my sympathy.

I ordered from them fairly quickly after the announcement that ordering was up (maybe an hour after?), and a couple weeks ago I was still #8 in the queue. Hoping to see my game in the next month. Either GEX sold a ton of machines and had pre-orders queued up before the announcement was made, or perhaps CGC is hosing them on the shipping schedule.

Trying to be patient still, but damn...

Monster bash is great but two problems . One the ball keeps getting stuck left ramp area and second the damn scoop fired right down the middle ! They didn’t test these things before shipping out ?

Both topics have been covered extensively in this thread. The scoop is an easy fix with a small piece of foam weatherstripping on the inside right wall of the scoop.

I think CGC quality control has gone down. my MMR LE had absolutely not a single issue. My AFMR LE has a left flipper problem, never had any problems with any of my other pins with flippers, plus the glass was shaking, the DMD had dead pixels now the MBRLE has this scoop and left ramp problem. So I know the foam will fix scoop, but Im confused about the left narrowing issue, whats the fix for that besides taking off the whole ramp which Im not going to do, and no hammering!

I am looking to possibly pick up an MBR. Are the SE (or LE for that matter) lighting effects really worth the price difference over the CE? I just don't see how you can loose on a 6k NIB MBR for down the road resale wise.

#5278 5 years ago

Imho 100% yes. You also get the XL display with the SE. The SE is the one to buy of the three if you ask me

I had the CE and it was too stripped down for me. The ability to do some add-ons to the SE plus the larger color screen made me switch to the SE.

Elaborate on your opinion if you can. I am thinking that if I go SE, I mine as well go for the shaker and topper on the LE?

The upgraded monitor on the SE/LE does look frickin awesome.....

#5281 5 years ago

I have the LE, but I think you could live without the topper. You don't really notice it when playing. You can add a shaker if you want, but it isn't heavily utilized in this game. The display and lighting is really where the wow factor is. That being said...it's not THAT much more...

I'm with you. Any recommendations on who to get one from? I know there was a vendor running a special on show use ones (CE and SE) from MGC and I reached out to him.

I’ll quote this because he basically said what I would say. We do have the LE but that’s because that is what the wife wanted but the SE is the sweet spot for this game as far as features and price

Shaker is really not needed for this game if you ask me.

#5284 5 years ago

The SE is a great machine - no complaints at all

Me either. Just got it this week.

Yeah I didnt either!

#5287 5 years ago

Does anyone have a classic ?

#5288 5 years ago

I just got a classic this week. It's sweet. I appreciate the larger display and the color changing LED's to make it feel more modern. From my memories this was a classic dot matrix with rich warm lighting. I played all 3 versions extensively and I liked the classic the best. The warm white looks more like the AFMr which is stunning. I like the color changing LED's, but it made the game too dark for my tastes. Even when setting an LE to warm white mode only, the colored bulbs don't have the same rich glow like the classic does. That's my 2 cents

Quoted from gearheaddropping:

Yes it does!

#5290 5 years ago

The larger screen and enhanced color graphics sold me on the SE/LE. I also love the light show from the RGB LEDs. It really adds to the drama of the game in my opinion. I don't mind it getting dark sometimes its part of the show and tweaks the difficulty level a bit. I don't play the game in a completely dark room so I can always see the play field. Only thing I would have liked to see come on my LE stock from the factory is some anti-reflective glass. Its a great game and a bunch of fun to play.

#5291 5 years ago

Yeah you can’t beat every time you hit a drac shot and the playfield goes red. Love that aspect SE/LE all the way unless you need the absolute cheapest option.

#5292 5 years ago

would have went with the SE, but My daughters 1st game and thought it would be cool. Was going to give as Xmas Gift, but now a Graduation gift if it's here by May 27th.

If it doesn't arrive then, then It's going to be a Farewell, Going Away, Graduation Gift as she got a job in Boston - LOL.

I ordered Oct 20th from same place. Wtf. No updates? A LE on the floor for sale in December for 1k more. “No refunds on the deposit absolutely no exceptions”.
I’m offended. I’d like to know how I should have ordered a game though.

Yeah, they've been eerily quiet with this one. I had emailed a question back in December, which they didn't respond to at all. A second query a couple of weeks ago at least got a terse response with my spot in the queue. I bought two other NIB games from them, which went without a hitch - but this time around it seems like they are really passive in this whole process. Even just once a month a message that says we're still waiting, but you'll get your machine would've been nice.

Not sure where I'll go for my next machines, but I don't think my selection of distributor will be automatic when the time comes.

Hanging at Universal Studios this week in Orlando and had to snap a pic of this - Ready to get home and play some more Monster Bash!!

Really sad to leave the club much too soon but a new business venture awaited I needed the funds from my game for.

A bunch of SE/LE mods and related goodies are for sale. If you've been on the fence for any of these, I appreciate you helping a brother in pins out. Thanks

Left bride ramp rejects are driving me nuts. Making it nearly impossible to get her mode going. I’ve tried adjusting the wireform. Gonna try last ditch effort of bending the outside metal “wall” towards the wireform.
