I have a friend that asked me to look into selling/trading away a rare prototype Monster Bash for him. I'm in the process of getting some good pics of it, but have seen it before and from what I remember it is in very good condition. This is just a feeler to see interest and try to get a starting point of valuation, but if someone is really looking for one of these feel free to pm me. Also, I do know that he wants to sometime in the near future pick up an AC/DC Le of sorts, either the LTBR or BIB. So, if you are interested in a trade for one of these two games let me know as well...thanks for the time guys/gals.

An actual prototype or is it a sample game? There's a difference, even though some people mistakenly refer to a sample game as a prototype. A prototype will usually have red circuit boards.

I'll double check, but I do know that it has the original hole in the playfield with a plate over it where they were originally going to do a jump ramp for frankenstein...i'll dig in for more details. thanks

He just said the boards are red...he's out of pocket right now, but going to get a few pics for me in awhile, but I just wanted to see what the interest was or maybe the possibility of the right trade as well.

If it has that skip ramp, then it's likely actually a prototype.

Here's a thread someone posted a while back on one of the prototypes:

Is the cabinet silk screened?

With the early signs of the scoop wear, and assuming that it is average in other regards, I would guess $8,500-9,000.

In my personal opinion, despite the fact that it is a sample, the hole in the playfield covered by a piece of spring steel hurts the value. It detracts from the appearance and it might even negatively affect how the machine plays.

Lol...you guys kill me. I just got the sent to me and hooked up my phone to computer. The reason they are screen grabs is because they were in a text. Thanks for the input guys. Just anyone let me know if they are interested and I can put you in touch with the seller and get more details.
