I bought this item and the claim was that it is a playfield overlay, but I see no possible way to apply it to a playfield. It looks more like a test screen print. Am I missing something? What is this thing?

I’ve seen these before it’s was a big sticker . So you can cut the overlay pieces you need for touching up parts of the playfield.

I don't think so. There are no edges to peel back. I even cut a small piece from the corner and tried to peel it back. Plus it's not a paper backing. It's a thin piece of plastic.
