When building pinball machines from scratch you become very familiar with the parts list or BOM. With MB, on line 1495 a 1/2 inch wire ball guide is listed. I assumed that it was an error because a 1/2 inch guide could not be found on any playfields that I have seen. Well, I was looking over my original playfield and found a spot where it could have been mounted. At first I thought that it was a drilling mistake by someone in the past . However, looking at the back of the playfield it is apparent that the holes are original and spaced so that a 1/2 inch wire ball guide could be inserted. Others with original playfields have also seen these holes in the same location. The Mirco reproduction playfields do not have these holes. I can't imagine why a guide would be designed there. Any thoughts?
