Hey folks,

Figured I'd post on here, to get some clarification as to what needs to be done in order to get the topside "drac" part of the armature, out of the game (along with the entire mech).

I'm assuming that the big hole under the plastics/ramps is how you get the topside part of the armature out of the game (requiring a ton of stuff to be removed off the top of the game) .. and that's probably the only way to get to the lamp board underneath to do bulb swaps.

I'm really trying to do three things here:

1 - Disassemble and clean up the drac motor, since it's got the original gunked up grease in it and has the typical "drac is slow" problem.
- The two hex bolts that are holding the motor to the armature are completely seized - I'm thinking taking the whole thing out in one piece may be my best option, given how hard those hex bolts are to reach.

2 - Trying to get to the lamp board underneath the entire drac mech, to do bulb swaps
3 - Trying to get enough of the mech and boards out of the way to replace my dead Cliffy protector that's in the game.

If you've taken your MB apart before.. I'd love to hear from you.

Thanks!

Actually just got done doing this myself. Here is the external link to rebuilding the Drac Motor http://www.iobium.com/rebuilding_the_monster_bash_drac.htm

From what I recall, do the following

1. Raise the PF and loosen the two hex nuts on the drac arm to the motor
2. Disconnect the Drac motor connection from the board
3. Remove the (4) bolts from the Drac motor and remove, then follow the directions in the external link
4. Remove the additional (4) bolts to remove the next level of the Drac motor mount, this will then give you access to the light board
5. Optional, if you want to remove Drac on top, then remove the plastics and slide him over to the hole.

To get to the Cliffy, you have to remove the post that's behind the scoop. The nut is located on the underside of the PF, directly behind the scoop.

Good luck
