SOE,

Looks AwEsOmE !!

PM sent - need pricing & shipping costs.

#203 4 years ago

I hope you guys aren't too late. In my opinion these for MB are the best side panel art ever (even better than his TSPP artwork).

#204 4 years ago

I PMed a few days ago also and didn't get a response. It sounds like there may be enough interest to make these worth reprinting.

#205 4 years ago

Let me know if u guys get a response. I would like to order as well.

#206 4 years ago

I just went to his profile. He has not been on pinside in 10 days.

#207 4 years ago

Good observation. That's exactly around the time I sent him a PM. Ok, sounds like he's off doing other things, so we can all wait patiently until he has time to check in on Pinside again.

but I want it NOW!!

#209 4 years ago

PM sent.

#210 4 years ago

He should be happy when he gets back on Pinside and sees the orders.

Quoted from MustangPaul:

How much were they?

$100.00 shipped. i thought ahead and purchased a set months ago with the plan of buying a monster bash one day. not sure now because of the price tag. thinking about a congo instead... if i can find one!

Hey thanks, I'd pay that. Now if we can get them. If ya want to see yours just let me know. MB is a great game but I'd never pay what they are going for. Congo is fun too and a lot less. Good luck with your search.

I am glad I have both.

These are nice& I am considering a set. What an upgrade. How hard are they to install? Is there one in the back of the cabinet also (looks like it). Or is it just the sides

Thanks,
Rob

#217 4 years ago

These look similar to the ones from Pingraffix and a friend helped me put theirs on my MET Pro which took about 5 min. per side.

1 week later
#218 4 years ago

Hey guys!
Daniel (the guy how made them) just asnwered me last weekend. He still in business. It costs 100$usd and mine should be ship early next week.

#219 4 years ago

I got contacted too. What I really like about them is they aren't a mirror copy of each other, each side is different. They look great.

#220 4 years ago

yeah you're right. This is why TSSP pinblades are also super nice!

#221 4 years ago

I sent a PM for a set early this week but haven't heard back. Hopefully he checks his PMs over the weekend.

#222 4 years ago

Anyone have a video of these being installed so I don't screw this up? Or photos and instructions?

#223 4 years ago

I have had my set for almost a year and still haven't had the time to install them. I am assuming you have to remove the playfield?

#224 4 years ago

I removed the playfield when I installed pinblades in my STLE, but it has an led window that has to be aligned perfectly. That also allowed me to install felt on the playfield sides easier too.

But lifting populated playfields out is a risky endeavor - proceed with caution!!!

#225 4 years ago

I also sent a message. No reply yet.

I bought these from Sillyoldelf a few months ago and they are truly amazing so I hope all of you that want them do get a set - you will be impressed! I installed mine with the play field in place. Made me nervous as hell that I was going to screw them up but they are surprisingly hearty - I tested them . I "unstuck" them several times in a few places to obtain better alignment and they came off and re-stuck just fine. Unlike mirror blades I strongly encourage you to have a second person when installing these, however, as they tend to stick to anything/everything, so four hands are better than two. Make a dry run on placement (before removing the backing) and use short strips of blue painters tape in 3 or 4 places such that you can align them exactly in the same place once you remove the backing and are ready to "stick". This works pretty well, especially with help (I used this method on my wife's TWDLE with Stern's wall art, had not thought that far ahead on my MB - it was my first time ). And, the blue painters tape leaves no residue on either your machine cabinet art nor the decals. I thought about removing the play field to install these but just could not muster the courage to do it. It is a bit nerve racking but take your time and get an extra set of hands involved and it's manageable. Good luck!

Yup, that's the way I did my Creeping Death stickers. Left the pf in but I had 3 people. the 3rd person held the pf straight up as we did both sides, took less then 5 minutes a side.

Using this method, were you also able to install the felt tape?

Didn't need the felt, the decals are thinner then the mirror blades I had in before and they never scratched. But every game is different.

Just got the Metallica Premium with pre-installed mirror blades in the pin, which look great and really make the LEDs shine. However, before I bought it, I was SERIOUSLY wanting to buy the creeping death side art decals from Pingraffix. Can you post some pics with the decals installed because I can't make up my mind. Thanks!

Sure wish you worked on arcade games too.

#237 4 years ago

I bought these awesome decals long before I got the machine. Once installed, they fit the MB design just as if it was factory made. The same goes for the TSPP decals. Someone should buy sillyoldelf a Cactus Canyon pinball machine so that we could get the same great design match there as well. I haven't found inner decals for CC anywhere and that machine would be perfect for a pair of side decals too.

#238 4 years ago

I payed for mine 2 weeks ago as he asked and haven't heard a word on what the status is. Wish he would communicate better.

I got my MB decals last week and got them installed over the weekend. I had a friend over and we decided it was easiest to do by removing the playfield which worked well but definitely required 2 people.

Wow, nothing has arrived here in Ohio yet.... Glad you got yours in NY.

When you removed the playfield did you disconnect connectors, or were you able to leave everything connected and sit the playfield on a chair next to the cabinet?

Mine was shipped on Feb 18th from the UK and arrived on the 27th. I've heard that it can take up to 3 weeks with customs.

My playfield has relatively long cables so we left everything connected. We put a pillow in the bottom of the cabinet in the area in front of the speaker and let the playfield rest sideways and vertically on the back end with a person holding it at all times to keep it from falling. So technically I guess the playfield was still in the cabinet, but I had full access to both sides to apply the decals. We initially gave some thought to the method others have used where the playfield is left in place, but after a dry run thought it would be too difficult to do this while keeping the decals straight and avoiding wrinkles.

Afterwards I cut holes in the decals with a scalpel so I could replace the hinge bolts. The hinge bolt on the left side doesn't really standout in Frankenstein's lab, On the right the bolt is in the middle of the pyramid so I will probably paint it yellow.

That's great, did he communicate with you? I've payed and haven't heard a word.

#246 4 years ago

I pm'd him. I just checked his activity and he posted 6 days ago on his Simpsons decal topic. He's probably not very active on the forum like us. But it's still strange cuz he has people wanting his decals so you'd think he would be on more often.

#247 4 years ago

I purchased my set a year ago. I was also thinking after a two weeks where are the decals. It did take almost three weeks with customs. Funny, wanted them like yesterday and a year later they are still sitting in the tube they were shipped in. I am now planning on installing them next weekend. Worth the wait, they are very nice and high quality.

I don't think he is very active on this forum. It was about 3 weeks between when I PMed him asking for the decals and he got back to me saying he had some to sell. I paid by paypal and 11 days afterwards he sent me an email with a Royal Mail tracking number when it shipped. I personally didn't have a problem with the communication, but I wouldn't expect daily updates.

Daily updates no but I payed on Feb 12 and crickets so far.

#250 4 years ago

I paid Feb 8. Set was shipped a couple of days later. Just got them yesterday March 2. I'm sure they will be along shortly. Also, a signature was required upon arrival, so be prepared for that.
PS They look great! Hope to install them soon.
