Quoted from sniiki:

It turned out pretty great! At least compared to the peel and stick of some unknown store that someone had stuck there (the right one in the second pick is the old). There was nothing under that old sticker but a hole so needed to level it and then used white backed wsd and another transparent one with just blacks on top of that to make the blacks deep.
[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]
This allowed me to finish my facelift of this bashed pf. Other 3 decals (mini CD, the center of the big cd and one 'full moon fever') I managed to recreate from other graphics by scanning.

Looks great

Get your favorite rocking monster made as a keychain! This is one of my all time favorite games, and all the characters are so fun I just had to make a keychain for each one!

Hey gang,

So … this is embarrassing (lol)! I did a playfield swap very slowly over the last few months. When I removed the old playfield - I noticed that two really small black stand-offs had broken “tabs” (smaller than all the other black stand offs). So, to be proactive I purchased two new ones for when I needed to put all the parts back on.

Somehow many of the copious photos I took along the way are now lost so … where the HELL do these two small tiny spacer things go!????

Thanks a ton for the help.
Chris

If you know their part number or size, you'll be able to find them in the MB parts list (from ipdb.org) which will then show you which assembly they are used in. Hopefully that'll be enough to figure out where they go or someone will then be able to take some pics of the assembly in question.

#805 2 years ago

They look like PCB standoffs like the ones used on the 10 opto board (it uses 4).

It’s also used on the underside of the Drac plastic with the big eyeball. Not sure if its a ball trap thing or what

At least one goes here (on top of the plastic)

Then I think they are the same size under these plastics

Does anyone know what the default A.2 "Ball saves" and "Ball save time" settings are? The manual doesn't indicate the default values.

In looking for a collector quality game within a reasonable driving distance from Charlotte , NC or will have something shipped in from a reputable seller. Message me if you think you have something I might be interested in. Thanks

Has anyone ever tried to see if modern Stern side rails/armor will fit on their MB? I'm removing my side rails (full restore, new sideart and playfield) and would love it if I could use side armor from Munsters or Batman 66. I'm getting it all powder coated the same color so color match wouldn't be an issue.

I don’t know the answer to this but verify verify verify before you buy; most of the Stern stuff does not fit B/W games

#814 2 years ago

Williams side armor does not match Stern. At a minimum; you'd probably have to patch the button holes and drill some new ones.
I'd love to say doing side armor is easy... but; the problem isn't the design - it's the bending needed.
I don't know anyone in the states that advertises they do custom armor.

Looking for these IDC wedge base lamp sockets with diode, for Junk Yard machine. These go in the translite housing assembly. I think it is same as MB. The corrosion keeps getting worse and lights do not work sometimes. I would like to buy some. New or use is good, does not matter. Can anyone help locate these. I need 5 white ones with diode, and one black one, no diode. The black one with a cable tie on it is close. But does not fit. That is from macos.

B/W WPC 95 lamp socket back box. Yes these will fit. They do not look the same as originals. Pinball life has then with and without diode. Yellow no diode. White ish diode.

Not supported in Williams software.

There has been kits that you can make a target or something trigger it for games like this.

http://www.pinshakers.com/ makes a shaker that is compatible with WPC95 games including MB

pinsound.org have a shaker kit, but it requires pinsound card and the DMD lux card. I'm doing a no compromise high ed restoration and ordered the full set yesterday.

Thank you. To those that have installed shaker, is it worth it? Thanks. Thinking shaker might go well with monster bash.

I accidentally posted this on MBr thread, so let’s see if anyone can help here with my original…

My phantom flip will not light up. Phantom switches and Optos test fine, but repeated hits to targets does not light the option for phantom flip to occur. I have the PinBits auto eddy boards installed and leds on them function correctly when connection is broken. I’m thinking there is a menu setting I’m missing to turn on/off. There is a discrepancy between the manual and game menu as there is no “phantom flip ball save” option on the game menu. The “disable phantom flip” option is set to “no”. Is there a setting I may be missing?

Thanks!

A factory rest might help.

Thanks Lloyd, I’ll try that. Do you know if once the phantom data is reset, does it take some time/plays before it becomes enabled? Much appreciated!

Yes. At least ten games I'd think.

Is the left gate suppose to open when launching a ball and holding left flipper button? Allowing the ball to loop all the way instead of falling into the pop bumpers? If not, how do you open the left gate during game play? Trying to resolve a gate stuck closed error.

Yes it is. It's a secret skill shot, AfM does it as well. Gate should open on some Wolfman shots if I'm remembering correctly.

Anyone have any tips for troubleshooting or adjusting the orbit gates on this game?
Right now my gate appears to be partially open so the ball doesn't always go from the launcher to the lanes.
I don't think I have a electrical issue... I think the gate is not quiet right from a previous owner.
No idea how one goes about adjusting these.

#846 2 years ago
Quoted from Zitt:

Carefully bend the bracket up or down as needed. A tweak or two should do it.

Could someone kindly take a picture of this pop bumper for me and confirm the configuration as well as the plastic ball guard at the top (Williams version)? The plastic over the top of the pop bumper was kind of jammed and skewed in there when I got the machine and somehow, my adjustment just doesn't look right (something about those two holes, right?). I'd like to get it on here correctly.

Hopefully the circles and arrows make sense. Thanks for helping me out!
