Does anyone know what the deal is with the green paper that is stapled on to the ball guide lamp sockets under the flipper assemblies on a Monopoly? Where do I get this stuff? Can I use any heavier bond paper?

Also, the lamps under the paper are a bit suspicious...one is powered, then a couple of pieces of bare wire run along either side to the other lamp and stapled to the PF. Then another thicker gauge wire jumps over to the kicker lamp...Is this normal? I looked around at some other photos, and I think it's fine..just looks a little strange

Again, the flipper would be mounted on top of this setup - so flipper assembly, then this green paper, then the odd looking wiring/stapled. I'm guessing the paper stops any shorts...but in both cases, it ripped and I need to find more. I'd really like to know what I should replace this with.
