Start up a game with the glass off but with front door closed. Press the cop standups. I think there'll be a whistle sound and the target should pop up. Press the targets in 1 second intervals and count how many times it takes. This might be a menu setting and may have a target off setting.

Looks like a standard switch with a remote diode.

Does that switch have part of the plastic housing busted off? If so it should be replaced first.
