I've been lurking the past couple of years & thought it's a good time to sign up.
I don't see many people doing mods to their MB. Give me some ideas.

LeesParts.com has two interactive mods for Monster Bash
Frankenstein Lights
Light up your Frankenstein Targets with a red glow while you assemble Frankenstein's body parts, then the ramp will glow green letting you know that he is ready to be brought to life.

Scoop Lights
Light up your scoop with a red glow when it will start Drac Attack, Monster Bash or Extra Ball and with a yellow glow when it will start Mummy Mayhem, Monster Mosh Pit or Monsters of Rock.

Why?
Does not MB have enough toys?
Geez.
It looks really good on its baseline.
Do not fall into the new collector "playfield garbage mod" trap.
Sometimes a few tasteful mods look great but a playfield full of plastic toys is what it sounds like.
Maybe some new speakers, a color DMD, or PinSound board.
Be unique, build or design your OWN topper.
These add to the quality of YOUR machine.
Be creative, don't copy others ideas.
Quoted from dmbjunky:Pinball Customs makes some nice shooter rods. I don't think there's much you should do to playfield. MB has a really nice design with a lot of toys. Maybe a topper. I don't know if Laserrific has any toppers for sale.
Agreed, MB has alot on the playfield already.
Here is what I did to mine:
External Subwoofer
ColorDMD
Chrome armor + door
Laseriffic Topper
Side Panel Art from SillyOldElf
Custom painted figs from ModFather
LEDs
Undercab lights
TitanPinball Rubbers
Here's what I've done:
Color DMD
Titan Pinball Rubbers - Glow-in-the-Dark
LEDs
Mirror Blades
Lighted Flipper Buttons
Button Guards - Pinballdecals
Cliffy Protection
Plastic Protectors - Pinbits
Desparately looking for a Frankenstein Monster... Want it custom painted and maybe have lighted eyes put in it. Everyone seems to be sold out.

I may have one I don't need anymore, let me see if I can find it
Here's a mod I did a few years back. It's kind of funny seeing people's expressions when they are playing mine for the first time.

What am I missing????
Quoted from redmamanora:What am I missing????
When the pop bumpers fire it makes an EM like chime noise. Pretty cool!
I pulled a chime unit out of another machine and connected it to all 3 pops.
I think the old chime sound fits the old monster theme well. Some people really liked it and others were just bleh.
Thanks for all the mod posts. I ordered a bunch of leds. That should make things somewhat more refreshing
Color DMD, PDI invisible glass, Mantis protector in the scoop if no damage already. Cliffy's for shooter lane. Leg protectors. A few tastefully placed LEDs. Frankenstein light up. Side panel art is cool although I don't have it.
Quoted from pinballuniv:Is it a major task to install the Cliffy protectors?
Each installation is different but all are relatively easy to install. Most require the playfield to be raised to complete the installation.
Quoted from joemamma:Mb doesn't have a shooter rod.
I guess those custom shooter rods must be a bitch to install then
Quoted from bonzo442:Side panel art is cool although I don't have it.
Sillyoldelf sidepanel art for MB is the best ever made for any machine and a must have for MB.
ColorDMD is also excellent for MB (very good for any game, actually).
I'm a purist, so my only Monster Bash mods are a ColorDMD, sillyoldelf side art, and one more that no one has mentioned that I LOVE!

The WPC-95 power driver board removed CPU control from two strands of general illumination and made them 'always on'. These are used behind the translight. The only obvious reason this was done was to save money, but I think it really hurts the light shows.
The Pinbits Blackout board board switches these two strands of GI off when the lower playfield strand shuts off, and it enhances the light shows immensely! When Frankenstein multiball begins, all the lights shut off. At the end of the game, after the match sequence, all of the GI shuts off as the flashers go crazy. It's the best.

If this mod is sold out, you can also get a GIOCD which is designed for a totally different purpose, but additionally performs the same effect as the Pinbits board when set up for WPC95. Highly recommended
