Quoted from BladeFury:

Forget about the price of the Topper, it’s worth it in person! Everyone who comes over notices it first thing and love it! Matching powder coated coin door is also another favorite..yep it adds up quick in add-ons passing $4k now…but love it

I can't wait to get mine , it should arrive any day and I just didn't tell the wife about it

#42 2 years ago

I "made" a couple of mods .
A belt buckle for the apron stuck on with magnets and a key ring , which I super glued to a bracket . Both off eBay .

Quoted from iamabearsfan:

So this amazes me that JJP has not addressed this issue at this point. Has anyone contacted Jack directly on this issue? Seems pretty easy to address and I would think he wouldn't want to be known for selling a 10K+ pin that only can be played for 20 minutes?

Maybe it's a USA thing ?
We run 240 volts down here , and I can easily hit every shot , even after playing for 5 hours straight

Quoted from Vespula:

Careful your thread's going to go sideways and turn into a JJP bashing thread.

Quoted from Vespula:

P.s. Your list didn't include pinmonks fans, So unless you're modding this LE to just look at it, when you actually play it more than 20 minutes, you will be adding fans at some point. They Do an excellent job of cooling the flippers to minimize fade. Essential gear.

Just to be clear , I'm not bashing jjp . I love the company . You're the one saying they have an issue with their flippers .
I've never had a flipper strength / fade issue with the three jjp games I have owned .
Maybe I haven't noticed the issue because I have been able to hit all the shots , but if I can hit all the shots , in my opinion there is no problem .

Quoted from Vespula:

The data sheet is on there. Here's right flipper temps over time with and without fans.... How that translates to your gaming experience remains to be seen...! Maybe you don't have that particular model flipper coil in yours screaminr
Is it possible jjp upgraded to a different part for 240hz? Maybe.
[quoted image]

I have no idea and I have also bought stuff off Pin Monk , he's really helpful and knowledgeable .
My flippers have always been on factory settings and I've never had any issues with them , that's why I asked is it a US problem ?

Quoted from PinMonk:

So coils on GnR will get hot over time and will fade to varying degrees (heh), but they will get a LOT hotter a lot faster if you are a trap player.

That makes sense , I'm a play on the fly type of guy , and when I trap up it's not for long .

Added LED from lermods around the stage..[quoted image][quoted image]

Soon you'll have more going on in the game than on top of it

Quoted from iamabearsfan:

For those that may be considering the Pingraffix Stadium topper WITH the lighting kit, you may want to look at these photos. Not that this is how you have to do it, but thought it was one of the cleaner ways to install the wiring. Each LED strip has to connect to the topper. I ran mine through the inside of the backbox and down the plastic wiring tube. Split it off to the back corner grills. The result is very little wiring on the outside and a very clean look. I will say that I wish the included wiring was a foot longer though.
Either way, I think this mod is the best out there in pinball. Yes it is pricey, but by far the coolest thing I have ever seen and experienced. I have been in this hobby mod'n pins for 20+ years and never have had so many compliments on this product.
Mod can be found here...

Had this mod for a bit over a week now . I just love it more and more , it adds so much to the atmosphere playing the game .

Quoted from barroncaliber:

are the lights distracting during game play ?

No . But you can feel lights coming down on you . It's really cool how the lights move around and change with every song .
I brought it without seeing it in action and I was worried they could be blinding , but that's not an issue .

Quoted from Vespula:

Just installed the marquee lights and monkey mod from https://www.pinballmodz.com/
This turns the JJP topper into what it should have been. Active RGB marques lights in various patterns looks great and the addition of the monkey mod gives the GnR Pinball logo total new life lighting up and patching into the back trellis stage lights programming that lights with game play. Really great interactive mod!
Next, my pinstadiums NEO CONCERT EDITION for GnR finally arrived that I ordered last November.... OMG. To quote another pinsider "every other GnR you play without Pinstadiums will be boring. These are a game changer! Literally,"
GAME CHANGER.
It's not even possible to accurately capture in pictures or video because the experience so sensual. You can really only experience accurately it in reality. But I could try to make a video anyway I suppose.
Now with pinballmodz JJP topper light show, plus pinstadiums taking the playfield light show into the stratosphere plus Hyperlytes cabinet lights sync'd with the hot rails illuminating the room, it's the most insane light show experience yet.
No such thing as too many lights.

You might need an adaptor if the hyperlights and the pin stadiums go in the same connection .

I installed the back box and under cabinet lighting but I wanted a way to easily remove it if necessary . So I attached the LEDs to some aluminium strips and attached some sticky Velcro and some zip ties to help keep them in place .
So far so good .
Such a great mod for this game .

Quoted from iamabearsfan:

That's a really good idea. As I was installing those I was wondering how it would work to put the backbox down. Now I have a solution

That was my thought as well , the game isn't going anywhere but just in case I have to move it one day .

#144 1 year ago
Quoted from atg1469:

I just installed the back box lighting as two separate segments, can fold the back box down any time without issue.

The ones I have put on are from the pingraffix topper and I was afraid if I cut them in half they wouldn't work and have full sticky down the entire length .
