    Quoted from Monk:

My lift table consists of me on all fours under the machine, lifting it, then crawling where it needs to go as my wife steers the machine.
Man I wish I was kidding.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who does it this way, but no one is there to steer me. Not after today 4-1-2018 . No joke. Got 25% off coupon

I went with the over kill 1000 lbs lift. Yes it a tight fit on some pins but it works just find. Heck I used it to help put riding mower in back of truck. Wished I had taken a picture. Next time

I can never have enough magnetic dishes and tool holders.

They do come in handy. And thanks for the link. Big sale this weekend, gotta start list now.

    Quoted from Chuck_Sherman:

Pump on mine went out. not sure if it leaked out or possibly the valve just might not be closing. bought a real pin lift.
If someone wants to fix the HF lift, they can have it free Come and get it
    Vancouver WA.

most likely a 25 cent O-ring. If left out in a garage that's not climate controlled. Cost me to much to travel 3000 miles oneway. Unless you sell me a couple pins and I'll set the price. Deal or no Deal.

    Quoted from silver_spinner:

is there a cart that can raise the machine up high enough to get into a pickup bed easily? bed height...

I use the Harbour Freight 1000 lb. Lift by: Haul-Master®- Item#60438
Lift your project up to 34-1/2 in. high and move up to half a ton with this table cart. It lifts higher than the 500 lb lift (27.5 inch) It can raise a little higher than my truck tailgate, that works out good when loading to truck. I got mine with 25% off coupon.

    Quoted from silver_spinner:

is there a cart that can raise the machine up high enough to get into a pickup bed easily? bed height...

This is the 1000 lb lift. I drilled out stop pins and added removable pins. Now handle can away from cart to go under machine.

    Quoted from pinball_faz:

I saw someone with an extended scissor table that reached a bed but it was REALLY tippy looking.
Consider a solution with a wheel base that can take 200lb extended to that height without tipping over (and on ground that's not perfectly level).
    faz

Any lift (fork) or what have you doesn't carry load fully extended carry load as low as possible. Only extend after you have traveled to your destination.

    #468 5 years ago
    Quoted from silver_spinner:

isnt that one to wide to go between pinball legs? its like 20 inch. has to be 18 inch or so wide to fit between many pinball legs.
also with a vertical handle how do you get the platform to slide under machine far enough? does it have to be modififed?

I'll post picture tomorrow under a EM and Newer Stern. Mine measured at 19.5 inches. And yes drill out a pin on each side of cart. That takes about 10 minutes tops. So handle can tilt back away from pin being lefted.

    #470 5 years ago

1000 lb lift. Here's 4 pictures. 1) Going under EM Target Alpha, close but makes it. 2) Pins out to move handle. 3) Under machine not sure were foot came from and 4) Stern game with 7/8" on both sides.

I took a pin out of my house to my detached garage about 35 feet through grass and I was pleased. I have the 1000 lb lift not sure if wheels are different.

    #482 5 years ago
    Quoted from Pin_Guy:

I only used it once on thick padded carpet, I don't recall having any issues, but I do know I couldn't have set the machine up by myself without it. I used it for the initial unboxing to set the pin on the cart, put the legs on, and for positioning the machine into its final location.[quoted image]

Cart comes in handy when working by yourself. As discussed, legs, positioning ect ect.

    Quoted from Gogojohnnyquack:

I bought mine used and it works the opposite - when loaded it slowly drops, and when not it drops quickly. In either case there is no fine control, it's either moving or not.

That's the same way mine does. I like it like that. Once legs touch the floor for a smooth landing table lowers quickly.

A couple years ago you could stack coupons. Then they had a code update that removed stacking and can only get one free item a day.

    #638 5 years ago
    Quoted from homegameroom:

https://www.harborfreight.com/# There's a 20% off coupon good this weekend only. I have a couple of machines coming (if all goes well) in the next few weeks - I think I'll follow the great advice from you all and pick one up! I'm getting older - schlepping a couple of machines around isn't as easy as it used to be....

I've had mind for about 18 months now. First time I used it to bring a pin from detached garage to house (30' thru grass) I knew I made a good investment. I did it by myself and with legs and head on a EM machine. Then I started buying more.

1/2 ton may be overkill but can lift higher.

    Quoted from Trooper11040:

This came in handy today! Wish it went a bit higher though[quoted image]

Put some 2x4 on it before lifting pin. Can add 1-1/2" or 3" doubled up if needed.

    #663 4 years ago

FYI. This is a rough estimate and thinking out loud. If a pinball machine weighs 250 lbs. Lifting on side rails would put 3.6 lbs per square inch (psi) on rails. Lifting on bottom would put 3.4 oz psi on bottom of machine and less stress, weigh is spread out over a larger footprint. Back to you regularly scheduled program.

1000 lbs lift is what I went with too. Purchased 1-1/2 or 2 years ago. Not having to modify handle was a plus.

    #707 4 years ago
    Quoted from PinballAir:

I have had the lift for about 4 years now.
I am getting so old that lifting the cart into the truck is a killer.
Does HF make a lift to lift the lift?

    Yes and here it is.

I have the 1000 lb lift. I bleed and don't think I needed too. Wished I didn't after making a mess. I have rolled mine from house to detached garage (50 ft.) With pinball machine though grass and it did great. Just get it lined up under pin and start to lift. I like my back legs to come up last. Then when your lowering it back down the back legs land first and pin is right up against the wall moves away from wall.

    #801 4 years ago
    Quoted from VirtualMayhem:

Thanks calfdemon for responding to the bleed question. Spiderpin - are you placing the table under the pin from the front or the back - I believe with back legs going up last your lifting from the front side of the pin. I think I will skip the bleeding part of this

Yes I slide in from the front. Front being the coin door and start button, that's the side the handle of cart is at. So when I load to to my truck the backbox go in first.

I had a game that look like it was ready to collapse. I cut two old 2x4's about an inch wider than the width of the pin. I placed them on the lift 3" before making contact.

    Quoted from the9gman:

Some days your the windshield and some days you are the bug. I finally got one of these and had visions of making the handle fold-able. Was waiting on a sale and today they had 15% off ...you rarely see these things on sale been checking for over 2 months. Got it home and my initial plan was to flatten the tubes on both sides, cut the flat spot in the middle and drill them out and bolt them together. Trying to flatten the tubes did not go well. At that point I just decided to cut them and fold the handle back and weld them back together. Did a great job on the first leg and decided to fit it to make sure the other side was going to work and that is when I realized I went the wrong way...handle was towards the platform duh....so cut it apart. Some days you are a welder and others your a grinder. Ended up blowing a hole in the tube and had to stitch weld it back together. Then I realized the wire in the machine was .30 not .23 the reason why it blew a hole in the 16ga tube and I didn't have any .23 on hand. I had to stitch weld the other side and grind the welds to make it look half way decent. Either way it turned out satisfactory and works well....I'm happy with it
    [quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

Wow that sounds like it was some work. That took a grand from you.
    Your now the8gman. Lol

Yes sometimes mine won't raise or lower, just move handle up or down gets it working. I think it's the release cable moving that helps.

    #935 3 years ago
    Quoted from parsonsaj:

I have moved probably 6 modern Stern games with this lift table using only the bottom panel, and have never had an issue.

That myself too. 25-30 lifts some pins 3-4 time. A few pins twice in one day, when I shuffle line-up.

    #938 3 years ago

No I just line it up so it's under cabinet and not touching the sides, front or back. That includes pins build in the 1970's.

Another ? Do you drop top while moving? I did...not sure I needed to...

Yes I do. If moving to load and haul on truck. Didn't in this picture, from room to room or just moving in a room I don't. Just go slow.

    Quoted from PghPinballRescue:

Is there a fix for when you pull the release handle just a speck the thing comes crashing down too fast?
Mine works perfectly fine, but a buddy of mine has one and it is way too touchy.

The release cable needs some slack in it. Under cart adjust nut if it's not bottomed out. It's the first nut at or at hydraulic pump loose cable slide out or

    Quoted from northvibe:

I think that is just the adjustment of the cable, loosen it via the nut on the underside of the lift near the shock, I need to do this as well

This is correct. Was getting ready to post. But your a bit faster.

    Quoted from Ballderdash:

How about a cart that has all 4 wheels swivel 360°? Most have the front 2 fixed forward. I am in a tight space and need the extra turning power of a zero point spin. Ideas or suggestions?

Don't do it. I did try it only because harbor freight was out of the stationary wheels. I changed the stock wheels to tires I could put air in. You'll have no control of cart if you need to go down a ramp. I thought it would be a good idea but I changed them as soon as I could. 360° tires on front and stationary on back.

    #1037 1 year ago
    Quoted from Mattyk:

Do you have any pics of your setup? I was wondering about changing to pneumatic tires

I'll get pics tomorrow. They were on my other phone.

    Quoted from Ballderdash:

No wamps to shoot here... lol. Just need something to pull pin forward and rotate 90° in place.
How did you swap the harbor freight wheels that were fixed? They look welded on in all the pictures.

I did use a grinder to remove the hard wheels that came with the lift. And a welder for new wheels.

    #1038 1 year ago

Here's the pictures. Front swivels rear stationary.

    Quoted from Miguel351:

Eek! No offense, but that weld on the stationary wheel looks a bit poor. If that mount is galvanized, you'll need to sand it down a bit to get that coating off as it'll foul up your gas while you're welding, which is kinda what it looks like happened there. Either way, I'd be cutting that thing off and rewelding it ASAP.

None taken, I got kicked out of welding school. Yes the weld is questionable on sides. Big gap and was in hurry. Better weld on front and back, both surfaces were touching. It's been like that for about 3 years now and moved approximately 30-40 pins in and out the house, down a ramp. Also move pins around within the room itself.
It's on my list of items to revisit.
