Got to spend a few hours yesterday over at Modern Pinball.. man, I wish I worked closer. As it stands, I am going to make sure I schedule more meetings outside the office around 3PM

Got to meet Steve Epstein (what a nice guy!) and Eddie, as well as hanging out Pinaholic which is always interesting.. you gotta share that Gary story!

Overall condition of the games were fantastic. Thanks to all that make this place possible!

It was 3PM so not much traffic during work.. perfect for me!

A few comments on the games.

Metallica - played for the first time. Fun game, nice flow. Game is a little dark especially next to Star Trek. Love the in line targets. Sound was a little low so couldn't really get a feel for the audio.. DMD animations a little sparse, modes seemed few and far between. Other than sparky and the cross MB not much more I was able to appreciate. I got High Score #2..

X-Men LE - played for the first time. Really didnt like the cramped feel the game has and that scoop. Also the ramp is way too visually obstructive. Game seemed to have a lot to do so maybe i will get used to it. Man that disk gets dirty and worn! Game still played great (design flaws aside though)

Star Trek - game has alot of flow and was fun even with the limited software. Hate the Red DMD. Hated the LED's.. they were too bright for my taste and they were spotty - didnt fill up the large inserts well at all. Game looks very light/sparse especially sandwiched between WOZ and Metallica with metal ramps. The ramps were designed VERY well - fast and interesting. Game has potential to be a fun game like Iron Man... but for the price? hmmm.

WOZ - Alas, could not play it. Game was being worked on to install cliffy's. The mechanic was grumbling the entire time about how difficult it was to install the protectors. Not sure if thats a JJP thing or due to the location of the cliffys but was too bad i could not play it with updated code.. next time.

    Iron Man
I have never seen a game played so much that the stern powder on the lock down bar was perfectly smooth!! Game still played great despite the fact this baby has been earning!
