Pretty much impossible as everything is encrypted.
Would be nice if someone can capture the usb connection to the driver board so MPF could be used for jjp machines..
Then new rules can be written..
Quoted from julien_06480:Just learned from this thread that JJP games are protected with Sentinel Dongle.
I understand JJP does not want their customers to customize their own pinball. They need to protect IPs and some other intellectual work. This is their right.
However, how could we ensure a JJP pinball could be repaired in 10 or 20 years in future? It will be almost impossible to find the same motherboard/cpu. It will be impossible to find a Sentinel Dongle for JJP games etc.
Someone from JJP said in the past here that their machines aren't linked to a specific motherboard/cpu (like we have with pin2k).
Any pc should work.
If JJP goes out of business then there may be a problem if your dongle or something else breaks. Let's hope one of the programmers involved may share a solution a then..
The same issue exists with Stern. What if your spike2 game breaks in 20 years from now..
Quoted from pinball_keefer:It's almost like no one can hear me...
They probably think you don't know what you're talking about
