I play the x-wing miniatures game. Here's the best place I've found to purchase those models:

    https://www.miniaturemarket.com/table-top-miniatures/x-wing.html

They're plastic, but they're pretty well detailed. They'll come with clear posts that should make their mounting pretty easy. Does anyone know where to get the clear plastic ramp covers? I think gluing directly to them is going to be the best way to mount, but I don't think I want to do that to the originals.

I saw a couple of questions on other threads about the Stern headpone jack. FYI you can independently control the main cabinet volume and the headphone volume with the same external knob.

Also added the tournament button. It is a direct wire up. No need to solder a diode in.

Then added in white coin taker flipper buttons. Really liking how this is turning out.

Not that I have seen. TWIP reported that the topper was still pending approval last week.

I’m developing a magnet mod for under playfield to be placed under the Millenium Falcon. I’m working on making the magnet powerful enough to avoid having to cut into the playfield. The magnet will be arduino controlled. So far I am using light sensors and currents sensors to drive operation of the magnet. The light sensors can used to determine when an insert is lit and the current sensors can be used to determine when a coil activated. I don’t own SW yet so I’m getting ready to use my AV as a test bed which also has a large open playfield location. Since I don’t own the game yet, I’m watching videos to start to determine appropriate trigger events or combinations of events to trigger the magnet. Any ideas are appreciated. I may add other sensor types or switches as well.

So loving this machine. As mama has decided this game is a keeper we decided like Batman 66 to add our personal touches in The Mod Couple style to Star Wars! We are proud to introduce our first add on feature (of several to come) the "Death Star Slam" lockdown bar button. The Death Star button mod is a plug and play install (5 minutes) without modification. Each Death Star Slam is custom molded to match the shape of the lockdown bar for a perfect fit and bottom keyed to lock in place. Each piece is unique and hand painted for that authentic weathered spacey look! The existing button is a perfect press fit blended with the top for a smooth look and as an added detail the center Death Star Laser hole transfers light via the button for a cool effect. Kits are now complete and available to ship next day for anyone interested. Kits fit ALL Stern Star wars models. Death Star Slam mod is $34.50 with Free US shipping. PM me for availability and purchase info for now. Thanks for viewing our product and let me know if there are any questions. May the Force be with You! More to come.....

To those of you who have done DIY lit-up Millennium Falcon mod for your Pro machines, can you describe or document what you used for lighting solution? I have the toy from the X-Wing game which looks frickin great - but struggling to find the right LED solution. Are you using a very tiny strip light, or is it a small LED inside of the toy cavity that lights some kind of "lens" that is inserted on the toy.

Also, if you have any advice on brackets for attaching to the game, let me know!

    Any advice is much appreciated.

    #126 6 years ago

the top in LED light technology is to use the "NEOPIXELS",
by coupling with a program and a controller card, we obtain good results, progressive startup of the reactor, boost, laser attack, destruction .......

I have been using strip lighting for all my mods. Since they are much smaller than lamps, they are much easier to design into the models. They are easy to work with, too. On the "Ice World", I designed a small channel into the model and I only needed 4mm clear to get the light to mount directly into the center of the globe with the harness neatly coming through a round channel in the side.

I have one of the aftermarket Millenium Falcon mods for my pro, but the single metal bracket solution has caused a lot of leverage pressure on the mounting screw and it crumbled in the model and broke off :O - I am going to design a whole new two-bracket system that I will post on Thingiverse at some point, so it can be 3D printed.

The blades have been out for long time now as long as you need a set of 6! Topper is still MIA.

    #130 5 years ago

For those of you purchasing the Stern factory accessory blades, we are working on lighting them up much like the LE blade kits we sell.
Playing with film sheets now for color off. Will post pictures this weekend and a teaser vid.

What are people using for LED's to light the "X-wing Millenium Falcon" from amazon. The Mezelmods ones look great, but I wouldn't mind a little project to save 100$

I see some some folks using light strips, missed that on the first read through.

I just picked up a Millennium Falcon from the X-wing Game. What's the best way to mount it on the pro? I want it on the left ramp return like the Premiums come stock with. I don't care about it lighting up. More details and pics the better!

    Thanks!

I had to do a little surgery last night and found these screws on the Falcon interesting. Thought they might be good to hold wires for mounting X-Wings to fly with the Falcon.

For the lightsaber in the new version 1.10, the OS has changed and the computer communication too, the µ controller of the lightsaber no longer recognizes the communication protocol, we must not install this update because the lightsaber will no longer work, we will work on a new firmware version in the course of 2021, it will take time because it will not be easy and I will have to get the pinball machine to analyze the signals.

    #143 3 years ago

Question regarding adding an after market Falcon to a pro, as long as the light strip is the proper voltage can it be plugged directly into the board where the real deal would plug into?
