I don't know if it's my glasses or my eyeballs, but the common, cheap, blue LEDs that you see on cheap electronics nowadays are really uncomfortable for me to look at. If I buy so much as a usb charger with a blue led it gets electrical tape over it.

It's obvious that not everyone shares this phobia, but I can barely look at machines where the general illumination has been replaced with blue LEDs.

(Even in photographs, where the blue doesn't bother me, I don't understand the point. It just washes out all the playfield colors.)

The completely hidden spider might be a nice touch. Not too much different than leaving a business card or a spare key.

But, I don't think I'd be happy about those fake cob-webs. I feel like I'd be finding strands of that stuff in there for the rest of my life. And if loose fibers eventually caused a switch or contact to fail I'd be REALLY irritated.

Might as well put glitter in there.

EDIT: Or is that web painted_ on? Oh, forget what I said above. A painted web is less stupid, but I can still sympathize with being irritated if you were expecting an authentic restoration.

EDIT2: Thinking about it more, if that's painted on, it's not "less stupid", just stupid in a different way.

    Quoted from lordloss:

A pin is a work of art, would you doodle on the mona lisa because you think its fun?

You might doodle on a copy of the Mona Lisa, if you enjoyed doodling. But you'd be realistic enough to understand that nobody but yourself would think the doodles were an improvement on Leonardo's original.
