So I picked up this lethal weapon 3, purchased a manual, went through and found all the bad stuff... found a used dmd on ebay for 35 bucks, because this one was gassing bad... couldn't read anything on it when going to audits/adjustments menu. found several connectors burned up... re pinned and fixed those (new connectors as well), replaced the light driver board with a new rottendog, found a bad mosfet connection on the main board... someone had cut the old one off and attempted to solder to the original legs lol

okay, so on to the main issue at hand and my question...
I also purchased a blue light (this is not the original equipment) the back box has a connector fused with a 1 amp slo blo fuse.
cut of the 12v dc adapter plug, (from the light) installed pins and made the connection to the factory plug... light works a few times but blows the fuse.
to test the blue light is "coil test" listed as MARS light in adjustments. works fine there but I think it stays on to long during game play.

so the question is could I wire a 12 vdc relay to an external power supply, and use cn12-7, and PS-cn4 6/7 do drive the the relay?

this is the light, may be a little too heavy duty for this application lol

Seems to work find with the original configuration until you hit multi ball and the mars light is on for a longer period of time.
works fine in test, and works fine in small bursts.
