Quoted from Rarehero:

Some of the voice levels are too low IMO and get drowned out by the music and sound FX...not sure if the original was that way, too....but if there's a discrepancy, it's probably from using the uncompressed files.

I'm 99% sure that the original was that way as well. I remember noticing this the very first time I played it in a distributor back when the original was released.

I've always wondered..
Who got #1000?

Quoted from DeeGor:

Good news on game #2. It's too bad it won't be until 2017 before it ships.

I love your optimism! Keep it up!

#1750 8 years ago
Quoted from DeeGor:

I really don't want to be down on these projects. I want them to succeed, but it is pretty frustrating as they're going at a snails pace. Month after month goes by and still nothing.

I don't blame you. I'm interested in game #2 , and want to see them succeed too, despite my tongue-in-cheek comment!

Keep in mind that from a purely logical standpoint, NOTHING can EVER be both "new" and "improved"...

So are they still making LEs? Or have the LEs finally run their course and are no making those similar 'standards'?

#2106 8 years ago
Quoted from TaylorVA:

They are still in LEs. A few standards have been made for shows and then sold so there are standards in the mix but the LEs still occupy the line.

Okay, thanks! That's why I heard that someone had a standard. Didn't think they got THAT far ahead in production, with all these folks waiting on games still..

Quoted from Drewblood419:

They say the end of the year but not sure if that will actually happen or not

I'm not holding my breath. I'd die. I found a post where they had originally said that 'standards' would start leaving the dock end of December, *2014*. So, there you go.

Something so simple:

Wouldn't help. Inkjet printers' ink is slightly transparent - that's how you get secondary colors form the CMYK colors.. Why true black is ALL the colors - CMY & K added together, plus, sometimes K is over-printed.

Quoted from Nilroc:

Just got the word from Katie of JJP.
My MMRLE Black is ready to ship!
I've got Tommy of Nitro looking after all the details.
Another unboxing will soon be happening. I thought I'd never utter those words.
It's becoming real!

Interesting - what about Twisted Pins orders? If they *actually* made all 1000, then those must be in there, right?

Quoted from surfajl77:

My registration is definitely not perfect - which is most obvious by the shoot again insert being more towards the left and tracing the art upwards. So it is definitely present on some of the PFs. But I've seen that on other pinballs I have played over the years.

Yeaup - as mentioned before, registration errors were common in WMS/Bally days. Two games, side by side, would be completely different in registration of the ink.

IMHO, if I was getting an MMr (new, or used when one pops up for sale), I wouldn't care about registration issues. I cars about transparent inserts though..

Quoted from PinballCharlieNY:

Other than the shaker, what is the difference between standard and LE???

Colored trim. I think that's it though. Originally there was going to be a different glass or something, but I believe that was changed..

(If I were to get an LE, I'd remove the shaker. I don't understand the intense interest with shakers..)

What'd I miss?

#3731 7 years ago
Quoted from NonStopSwagger:

My Standard has everything the LE has, except the Apron sticker and Shaker. Backbox edges are finished. Bottom is plywood. My playfield even has MMR LE ### written on the underside of it.

Well, that's just another kick in the pants.

I saw the DCS logo..

Is it technically still *DCS*?

Whatever happened to the Twisted Pins customers?

I just noticed something.
The bootup screen of the WPC code. It's displaying the MAME's "123456" serial number code. Hah!
