Then they put a no fear in there, and I bought it too. It was so dark in that place the cab don't hardly have any fade. Ha ha. It's a shit hole, reminds me of that bar in the sawamp the guys went to in the movie porkies. Ha ha

THIS. IS. GETTING. RIDICULOUS.
Get your shit together PPS/CGC!!!
Quoted from ghetoprobe:THIS. IS. GETTING. RIDICULOUS.
GETTING? Its been ridiculous for about 6 months now!
Did anyone send in their money for remake number 2?
Quoted from lordloss:Last i heard is that the first games will arrive on the 16th
the 16th... June? July? December?
Quoted from teekee:Did anyone send in their money for remake number 2?
Whatever happened to "SEND MONEY NOW", teekee? Did it go the way of ?
It's like we don't even know you anymore!

I wanted the game to be here two weeks ago, but it didn't show up. So I moved my trip up a week for when it should have shipped.. didn't ship. So now i'm driving 4 hours on my trip and MMRE was supposed to be a big part of it and now it won't be. So disappointed.

That's patience my friend. Most wanted it delivered a year ago.

Sorry to hear but at least you admit it… some of these MMr lemmings will believe anything his guy says… will follow him wherever he goes praising his every move…

Anyone want to take a guess at what the next delay issue will be? The weather? Shipping company logistics?

Did you end up trying to order an MMR LE? If so who did you order it through?
[EDIT: just read on the PPS forum that PPS is still selling MMR LE directly if you're seriously interested -- though I'd still consider calling around to see if you can get a better deal on shipping or price from another distributor]

Am I the only one who remember Stern getting an award for their packaging? The following article describes how Stern improved their process. Looks like CG should have used Stern for both assembly and packaging.

Steve (in Escalon, CA)
FYI: I no longer have a horse in this race. I was paid in full, but am fully refunded and done with the entire mess!
Quoted from Steve_in_Escalon:Looks like CG should have used Stern for both assembly and packaging.
At this point who knows, but it would make sense that Stern would be packaging these games as well (for truck transport to CGC, from whence they'll be sent on to the distributors). It's a little hard to imagine that a) Stern would allow CGC to set up a packaging operation in the middle of Stern's factory or b) that they'd ship the games unpackaged to CGC and only box them there. But like I said, who knows!

When they do start arriving, AND THEY WILL, I'm super excited to hear about your reports!!!! It's like unboxing an original only yours will have upgrades. You gotta be jazzed about that!!!!!!!

We'll see how the "upgrades" play out, time will tell. Im excited to see people get their games and also to see what PPS does next.

Me too but I look forward to buying it from someone who has it in stock!

We should make bingo cards with all the excuses so we have something to keep us entertained over the next year or so while we wait for CGC to get their shit together. They have the logistics acumen of a childhood lemonade stand operation.
Quoted from Razorbak86:Are they still posting regular updates on the PPS website?
Updates? Yes. Regular? NO.
Shame all this drama revolving this pin has taken so much excitement way from me eventually getting it....
Quoted from Razorbak86:Are they still posting regular updates on the PPS website?
The last official update was 2/25, saying the first games would likely ship 2/27 or 3/2. Sounds like that didn't happen, and Rick hasn't posted further updates on shipping dates.
Quoted from Doostur:Shame all this drama revolving this pin has taken so much excitement way from me eventually getting it....
I hear what you're saying. But if the game is as good as we all hope it will be, I imagine that will all go by the wayside pretty quickly and you'll just be enjoying your new MMr for years to come.

I agree but this project is the last straw for me doing preorders. The fact I paid Jack in July has truly cured me of 'take my money now' now disease.

What do you care? You already own an MM so what could your possible motivation be behind doing that?

Is there an upgrade on the MMr that wouldn't play out?

I haven't yet. I did get quite a few PM's offering to sell me their spot, but all at full price. I contacted PPS directly about purchasing an MMR LE directly but never got any response. I'm a bit hesitant. I was going put down a deposit for one but the fact that so many people still wanted to get out of their preorder despite the shipping of the first batch being imminent threw up some caution flags for me.
I think I'll wait until some people have gotten theirs before I order.
Yea I am totally done with the preorder format. Never again! I am disappointed with JJP on both wozecle and hobbit. I also went after a mmr and the delay deal just sucks.
I don't know how you can do such a piss poor job of predicting when the game will be done. WOZ was what... 8-9 months behind? Hobbit was supposed to be shipping in November/December with no updates or end in sight. Mmr was supposed to be same as hobbit wasn't it?
On Wozecle I was suppose to get the last green one off the line and got lied to on that. I ordered two games and told Jack I would forgo my second game if I could get the last one. Well I got almost the last one but no way of knowing how close it was. I asked for some special pix, something to show it was the 1000th one and was told yea we would do that and then when it shipped that seemed to have been forgotten. I didn't raise a stink, just figured it wouldn't make any difference. Pretty disappointed in that regard. The game is game is excellent and I'm sure hobbit and mmr will be as well. Just sucks being the financial stimulus and not really getting anything for the effort.
I won't do any more preorders and in fact will wait and buy a HUO game for less than new price.
The whole preorder format sucks!
Coming from me (I'm a JJP PPS fan boy) this has gotten to a point of no return.
Chris Kruger.
Quoted from Hawkeyepin:Is there an upgrade on the MMr that wouldn't play out?
Ask me 1 year from now
Quoted from pinstor12:More and more are catching on........
No pre-orders ever again.
Yeah right. Half of these posts are "I preordered WOZ...then Hobbit...then MMR...then Lebowski...I AM DONE! Never again!"
Gimme a break. People are gonna keep doing this. I have no idea why, but they will. In the end, if these MMR games are any good this will all be forgotten and people will just fork over the cash for the next carrot on a stick.
WTH? Special pix? The last game? This is crazy.

If MMR delivers, and I believe it will, I think you would be right if Rick did the preorder thing again. However, Rick has said that the next game will be announced just prior to production. So even Rick is over the preorder model!
I think the preorder model from unknowns and unprovens is essentially over, but there will always be those select few who will continue to pay up early.
I'll never preorder again. This ordeal has been such a drain. I barely care anymore. I have no idea when I'm getting my game. I thought that paying up in July would put me at the top of the list but it didn't. If JJP offfered me a refund check tomorrow I would probably take it.

Because if they are good they end up with the carrot. Or a basement full of carrots!
Quoted from acpinlover12:WTH? Special pix? The last game? This is crazy.
Yeah that whole thing came off as kind of crazy. Is JJP that desperate for sales that they'll agree to stuff like that?
I'm guessing they didn't. But people hear what they want to hear.
"They'll do their best to get me the last one off the line? Sweet! I can't wait for all the pictures and video, with a certificate of authenticity presented to me personally by Gary Stern and the ghost of his dead father, delivered in a white hearse with a full color guard! The last one baby!"

+1
I know how you feel.
I'll never pre-order again...or pay JJP in full before my game ships, (I was PIF in July too).
In honor of all the "This is the last time I ........." comments, I have assembled my own pinball top five. Note, none of which were really my last time. Please feel free to add.
This is the last time I .....
#5) order an LE machine
#4) ship a pinball machine
#3) buy a pinball through Ebay/Craigslist
#2) read another MMr thread
and the number one "this is the last time I ......"
#1) say Honey, this is the last pinball machine we bring home (said at least ten times)
Having a request for pics is not crazy when you pre order over $20,000 worth of games. Jack can break away from his busy day of not replying to emails to take some pics.
There will be people who preorder, but I bet it's a high percentage less than a year ago.
The delays with mmr have zapped all the excitement. The continuous delays are puzzling. Got to be more to it than the now packaging issues. Not at all pleased with paying in full 8 months and counting. There's just no transparency amongst any of the pin manufactures, and there should be when you lay out 8k. Even though there are some remakes I really want, I won't be preordering them.
Quoted from Vyzer2:There's just no transparency amongst any of the pin manufactures
I can think of one. Pretty spooky, huh?
I think some of you are putting the blame on PPS for holding your $8000, for so long without shipping. The truth is that is a JJP problem, as PPS and most other distributors have not required full payment until the games are ready to ship.
Also back when BBB was remade, my wait was over 3 years from the time I put the deposit down, I don't know why there is so much negativity about this, I guess it is just the "me want now generation". I figure the deal with Stern to do the production shaved at least 18 months off the production time.
