mm1.jpgAnybody get info on what type of box (if any) it will be shipped in and what is it going to look like and say? Any chance on a secure tracking number yet? Who will post the 1st pics? Thanks

#2 5 years ago

I think i see mine on that third pallet so old is that picture

A little more patient, just a little, now they are around the corner
You will enjoy it very much, i am sure !! Congrats!

#3 5 years ago

Couldn't get a real pic so I improvised. I know the wait will be worth it, but there is so much expectations riding on the first batch to come from PPL. I'm positive, but there are a ton of variables still amidst.

Mine is coming in the next 4 weeks, according to my distributor.

I would imagine your normal brown cardboard box, like most pins.

LTG : )™

#6 5 years ago

If you are getting it drop shipped then it will come directly from CGC via R and L trucking.

#7 5 years ago

Any ideas on how many got built last week?

I hear the LE's come with a box color option

Only $299 extra

#10 5 years ago

Where are the 2016 options?

I kid I kid!

#11 5 years ago

How far are they overdue for delivery?

#12 5 years ago

So the box options are brown, black, gold and ss?

Just go to to the PPS forums and grab the ... oh.

#14 5 years ago

Once I get the e-mail regarding shipping I'll post if it's allowed. Hoping Feb will be the month for some. Real excited b/c this is the one I've been waiting since the late 90's. So many times I went to see MM, but just couldn't seal a price between buyer that wouldn't leave me hurt. The King on the translite was so appropriate for the owners back then. Really hoping for the best on this title and the pinball community.

#15 5 years ago

I assume the box will look much like the cardboard boxes that Stern ships pins in.

#16 5 years ago

Stern=Red. JJP=Blue. CGC/PPS = ?.

#17 5 years ago
Quoted from PaulCoff:

Stern=Red. JJP=Blue. CGC/PPS = ?.

pps sues stern for using red and pps sues jjp for using blue.

#18 5 years ago

So green or black would be a safe bet?

#19 5 years ago

A premium product deserves a bleached shipping box.

Sweet pic. You should copyright that.

Mr. Split Personality did not dictate that particular photo as being "unrepostable". At least that was the case at one time. After all, his words are subject to change, without notice

You laugh, but a box that size probably has at least $2500-3000 in setup costs alone (cutting die + 1 color print plate). Printing just 1000 of those would be costly... Board with a color surface would add cost.

Anyways, how about a 4-color castle print?!

i'm going to have to move into my box when it arrives in order to afford the final payment.
hope the box will look good enough to meet HOA standards

Ahh, you got me now .... don't have a box

Nice to see that positive vibe!!
You are all in for a killer game, Enjoy!!

I just saw the new box at Chicago Gaming. It looks awesome, super thick foam on bottom, sides, and between the head and body, legs in boxes at the bottom for weight distribution. Outside has printing of the pinball inside so it's easy to see which side to dolly from. Very well designed indeed!

Will Mr. Personality allow photos to be posted?

I know some of our customers games are shipping friday

The question is which friday? This friday? Next friday? The first friday after the 4th of July? Friday the 13th? The friday after St Patricks Day but before the friday after Christmas? Freaky Friday?

Is there anything you guys won't believe?

That just comes across as sad. Sorry teekee .

For months and months now PPS has been bullshitting all of ya… that comes across as sad to me.

But its worked. If they would have told the truth I'm sure they would have mass refunds to deal with.

Truth?

Been more realistic with the details of the production schedule. There is no way Rick and CG didn't know that the games weren't going to ship between Expo-Christmas last year when production was "immenent" and yet didn't do anything from people getting their hopes up either here or on the PPS forum.

It is what it is, but the project management and expectations setting on this project leaves much to be desired. Especially since Mr. Personality is a self-proclaimed project management guru.

So these have shipped?

#42 5 years ago

So .. a couple of these .. have shipped would be more accurate.

#43 5 years ago

They shipped to the shipping facility

#44 5 years ago

Credible report in the other thread that PPS has begun telling its customers their games are ready to ship. So these should start showing up on door-steps relatively soon.

I'm interested in an LE. Is there any left to order?

#46 5 years ago
Quoted from Ryu21:

Seems relatively likely. Here's a list of the resellers from PPS' website:
http://www.planetarypinball.com/category/mmr-resell/

Might be worth calling around to see if you can catch a break on shipping, etc.

You could also post a WTB add and see if there's anyone that wants to get out before the games start to ship. You'd have to talk to Rick at PPS about how warranty support would be handled but I think a few pre-orders have changed hands already.

#47 5 years ago

Anyone get their MMRLE in FEB?

#48 5 years ago

For you fortunate, soon to be new owners, this would be a good post to keep track of things. It's also a good opportunity to explore using the "ignore" function on posters hell bent (for a variety of agendas) to try to ensure this is a bad experience for you.

CONGRATS! on your new game. Period. End of story.

I'm sure someone would have posted if they had.

What the hell are you talking about? There are people here that don't agree with Rick's communication style and some that aren't big fans of the concept of remakes, but I haven't seen anyone that wants MMR buyers to have a bad experience. That's one of the stupidest things I've ever read on Pinside (and that says a lot!)

Ditto.
