Quoted from Giardiasis:I hope you payed by Amex, you will almost certainly get your money back! Otherwise, I am afraid it's just rainbows and unicorns for you my friend
PPS did not allow payments by credit card. Don't know about other distributors.

Quoted from PismoArcade:I know it's been mentioned before, but to me, the coin door issue is a dealbreaker.
It was actually the coin mech issue, and that really wasn't the issue. The issue was Rick's total lack of transparency and his blowing off of legitimate questions about an issue he caused and insisted his research said wasn't a big deal.
If the game had been announced without coin mechs, it would have blown over quickly. But when you take them off the game after deposits became non-refundable, claiming it would only be an issue for a few, refuse to back that up and ignore the logical question of "if so few are impacted, why not just send mechs to those customers?", people began to see he wasn't as straight forward as he seemed.
All that "if you have a question, just call" talk was just a ploy to get people to stop asking questions Rick didn't (and still doesn't) want to answer. In hindsight, maybe a good move on his part, because as long as people were focused on the coin mechs, they weren't going to figure out the game was slipping 4-6 months.
Quoted from Skypilot:PPS has also been very transparent on the manufacturing of it
I agree with your post in general, but this comment is laughable. Rick has been anything but transparent and bailed out of pretty much any substantive Pinside discussion when people started to realize that.
Quoted from hardware:but the rude awakening is that PPS is not going to do machines for less than $8,000. I'm sorry, it won't happen.
If that's true, the rude awakening for PPS will be how few will spend $8k for a remake other than MMr.
That ship has sailed. Future PPS titles need to be in the $4k-$6k range or they won't stand a chance in the current market.
Quoted from edwinpblue:No I haven't. Jack G hasn't responded to my last two emails. I hate airing dirty laundry in public but short of hiring an attorney I have little recourse. I plan to send another one after I respond here.
Emails can be easily overlooked. Send a certified letter.
Quoted from labnip:what's more or less mean?
If he emails any more, he will get less.
