I think the trim discussion is a worthwhile topic. It was offered and now it should be discussed. So far the choices are not what i would have hoped for..and a bit disappointed. I still dont understand why the brass coated isnt an option. I have had my lotr le lockdown bar for 2 1/2 yrs and still looks like it was brand new. There has been no tarnish whatsoever...
In any case, if that is not an option..the shiny black plated would be my choice over the flat black being discussed. None of these should arrive scratched as it been pointed out…and once its in your home…so be it, you ruin it, its on you. If its going on route, than go for the flat black. The trim is being offered as a choice…so for huo, I would want shiny black.
I don't think I'll be buying games from boutique companies that don't do proper testing from potential fire hazards. Ignorance is not bliss when buying a product that does not go thru rigorous testing. It's ignorant.
Quoted from PPS:I think anyone making an electrical device that is likely going into a home should insure that they are doing things as correctly as possible as well as following whatever rules they should via FTC, CPSC, UL, FCC, etc ... it is simply not a good thing to risk as that is why they make these rules and guidelines to protect the consumer ... yes, it's a cost but in my lifetime I sleep better at night spending a little more to insure that we are making the best and safest product as well as do not run afoul of some regulatory agency which tend to like to issue larger fines that the cost of the compliance ... I think all consumers should be asking these questions especially for pinball machines.
Absolutely! Keep up the good work Rick.
