There is a fine balance between bright insert and adequate GI lighting. Overly bright inserts are okay if you can still see the ball when it's in play.
I don't care what they use for lighting as long as it's balanced.

I assumed that the black finish would be smooth powdercoat, like Stern. Looking forward to seeing the finishes in person at Pin-a-Go-Go.
Thanks for sharing the details and providing the updates Rick!

As long as we are giving opinions...
I don't mind if the rails don't match the coin door. I don't recall anyone badgering Stern for the siderails not matching the coin door.
I'm assuming that most of the LE customers have been in from the first day, since you sold out in a matter of hours. I believed the qty produced would be limited to 1000 units, that's why I sent in my deposit. Now that production has no limit, I'm wondering what do I get for sending my deposit in 8 months early? Shaker motor? Great bonus. Stronger cabinet bottom? Not much need in a home environment. The only other item offered to date is the possible choice of finishes. Going with a semi-flat textured finish isn't much of an upgrade, IMHO.
Regardless of the options offered (or deleted), I'm still staying in. Glad that you are producing the games and will be thrilled when it's delivered.
Thank you for taking feedback and for being upfront with the progress. Oh yeah, see you at PAGG!

Quoted from PPS:I get to spend all weekend at PAGG with people running up to me to play the mmr to find out it's not there ...
I plan on doing that every hour... )
Looking forward to seeing everyone at PAGG!

I know they were there on the original, but why would you install them on a remake? I don't know many people who restore pins who re-install the brackets. Maybe they will include an extra front decal for my LE so I can fix it myself? And again, WTF!

Quoted from PPS:The great news is it firms up the schedule as SPI can build upwards of 200 games/week on its line and this will allow MMR’s to be scheduled to be assembled in one or more builds, which will help ensure that we will finish the LE’s before the end of the year – so it basically allows us to get a lot more games out in a much shorter period of time with a different ramp up. The initial games will slip a few weeks to get everything setup to run.
Rick made this comment in the thread when they announced that Stern would do the assembly. I don't mind the schedule slipping a bit, as this was a 'win-win' for everyone.
