Quoted from viper001:

I was in the room when he made his annoucement. But when you say "aside from board sets and wiring harness" I would equate that as the same as someone making a reproduction of an automobile where everything will be the same as the original, EXCEPT for the engine and transmission. And oh yea, the reproduction car will be using a completely untested engine and transmission designed and built by a company with no experience, and the car will be modified in significant ways to make it difficult or expensive to drop in any other replacement engine or transmission other than that which ships in the car.
I really do hope this all turns out great for everyone, I really do. But the pictures I saw of those redesigned boards hanging off the bottom of the playfield all I could think was "so that is what happened to all those leftover parts when VA flopped...

I find that interesting that these comments are coming from a William's Medieval Madness owner.
Just saying.

#639 10 years ago

Thanks again Rick for replying on the weekend with your very busy schedule.

#676 10 years ago

Pics ASAP PPS.

#686 10 years ago

Probably just waiting for Williams to sign off on it. Then I'm sure pics will come.

#689 10 years ago
Quoted from teekee:

That's what I always say when I'm selling a fake!

Fake is a little bit of a strong word.
It's a remake of a classic and everyone buying one is aware of it.
Who knows it may play better than the original. You never know.

Jeez! How long does it take to take a few pics of this machine.

Quoted from marksf123:

Got my confirmation on MMr LE!!

Congrats!
Welcome to the club.

Quoted from damselrescuer:

I wonder what's harder to get a quality picture of... Sasquatch, Nessy, or a MMR LE?

Just one to go!

Rick is busy at his office working on pending MMRLE orders.

#963 10 years ago

I'm all in for a BBB and MB!
But let's focus on the task at hand. MMRLE!
Those pics look great! Keep them coming!
This is my first NIB and want this machine like yesterday!
I'm hoping everything stays on track and they start shipping Q2 2014.
After that let's get the next great title in the works!
2 lines running! One for MMR's and One for ?

#968 10 years ago

I'm no expert on the inner workings of a pinball machine but can someone out there tell me the design is better than
the Vacation America playfield pictured below. So we can put that comparison behind us for good.
I've got one of these MMRLE's on order and this comparison has been brought up before.

There is a lot riding on this venture. I'm sure all involved realize this and are going to make sure they cross all the T's and dot all the I's. This venture being a success will possibly allow other remakes of other popular Pinball Titles.

Me like very much!
Rick take notice please!

#1367 10 years ago

I'm all in for Black Chrome for my MMRLE!

#1551 10 years ago

I'm sure I'm not the only one here that is very excited to be receiving a MMRLE. Who knows this MM may receive huge accolades by the pinball community and it maybe more in demand than the original. No one can say anything good or bad until the product hits the streets. All I know I will be enjoying my MMRLE and not the least concerned about getting my money back because I intend to keep it in my collection for a long time.
When I bite the big one it will be passed on to my kids who also have a passion for pinball.
For me it's getting a NIB MM for 8 grand not paying a over inflated price of 15-20 grand for routed 15 year old worn playfield and cabinet that may or may not have some costly inherent problems.

#1847 10 years ago

I have an MMRLE on order and I to was excited to see the video of the "prototype" being played.
Not concerned the least about some bugs. They will be addressed. Williams will sign off only on a machine that plays like the Original. This is a fantastic project and Rick will make it right. I'm impressed with the care that Rick takes to make sure it's done right. There is no gain for Rick to make something that's crap. How could you possibly hope you would sell anymore new title machines in the future. C'mon people relax. Enjoy the process. It's going to be great when we get our MMRLE's in the New Year.

#1898 10 years ago

All these worries are based on one released video of a "prototype " playing. I'm sure Rick will release another video at a later date to show that these bugs have been addressed. There will probably also be a video released showing Roger Sharpe with a big smile on his face and big thumbs up and a congratulating handshake with Rick and the approval of the MMR.
Then the others that are on the fence will put their money down and order a standard MMR.

The news just keeps getting better!
Can hardly wait until the day there's a knock on my door and a truck is outside with a crated up MMRLE!
That day is getting closer and closer.
Keep up the great work Rick!

I'm so glad I got in on a MMRLE!
Some great announcements by Rick.
Can hardly wait until they start shipping!
Keep coming with the great updates Rick!

Well I'm glad to see the MMR debut at the show was a success and the overall response is positive.
I'm so glad I was able to get in on a MMRLE. Cannot wait for delivery!
Judging by the response on the trim , I will probably go with the Black option but still will have to see it first.
Congrats to Rick and his team! They are really handling this project very professionally leaving no stone unturned.
I haven't seen any responses from Teekee is he busy ordering one up?

Rick this is a big thank you to your diligence and care of the MMR Remake.
The continuing dialog with your customers such as myself that like many others have been along for the ride from the get go. I find it very exciting coming on Pinside to check on the latest updates and just thinking wow!
This Rick guy is going over the top to make sure this project is a complete success! I'll be heading to the Seattle show to see the machine trim packages first hand to make my decision. It's a 3 hour drive but for me it will be worth it.
IMO Rick has gone far beyond the call of duty. He's smart. Rick knows if he gets this one right he can easily repeat the success in following titles from what he has learned from this adventure.
Again from myself Rick another Big Thank You!
Looking forward to receiving my MMRLE later this year.

+1 for more surprises for us MMRLE owners

#3903 9 years ago
Quoted from BC_Gambit:

This has been my question.... I thought this was the plan a few months ago, but haven't heard anything lately (show-related) except for the PAGG cancellation.

I emailed Rick directly and asked about the Seattle show.
Rick's response: "Tbd ... trim can be there regardless of whether the game is or not."
That is as of May 15th

+1 to actually seeing pics with the legs on the machines.

I'd have to say the shiny black looks pretty good!image.jpgimage.jpg

Shiny Black with black leg levellers for me!

#4408 9 years ago

No issues here.
Got email yesterday from Jack.
Talked to Jack by phone today.
Gave him the balance owing by Visa. Chose Black Trim.
Got confirmation email of payment in full within minutes.
Now just wait to get the call from Jack on the shipping rates when it's about to be shipped.
Very excited!

Quoted from gaspumprob:

I am going to get mine in black . I was leaning towards black but was afraid it would have a Data East/ Stern feel. So I showed my wife the picture of all three lined up and she right away chose the black. I asked her why and she said that the silver looked non LE , and the gold did not look as good to her when focusing on the front of the cabinet looking at the decals and legs. She thought the black looked richer and went well with the decals. The only thing we wished was a smother black finish. The finish in the closeup picture looks like a fairly rough one? Is it smooth?? Someone who has seen it in person please chine in and let me know how smooth the finish is compared to Stern's.
Just our opinion not saying the gold is not a good choice.
Black is our choice!
Rob

Showed the the same 3 lined up pics to the wife and family.
It was a unanimous choice for the black.

#4564 9 years ago

There are probably a bunch that settled for a Standard that wanted a LE.
I suspect those people would be contacted first of any available spots for an LE.

#4575 9 years ago

Who out there would like the Black Trim to be run first?

#4614 9 years ago

Just a question. Did the original Medieval Madness ship with coin mechs?

#4639 9 years ago

Where is Viper001?

#4647 9 years ago

For me the missing coin mech issue is no big deal.
I'd probably have to change them out to accept Canadian Quarters anyways.

#4657 9 years ago

I'm sure Rick will come up with something to appease the masses in regards to the missing coin mechs.

#4706 9 years ago

It's kinda like putting down a deposit on a vehicle of your dreams to hold it until you get the balance of finances in order.
You arrive at the dealership to pick up your new car that you have now paid in full and they promptly hand you a jerrycan and tell you to find the nearest gas station because your brand new vehicle comes with no fuel.
In other words it was something they could have told you about when you were putting down your deposit.

#4779 9 years ago
Quoted from Pintucky:

Oh Geezuz!!!! You PAID for all that powder coating with your $8,000!!! He didn't save you anything!!!
I am baffled by some analogies on here. Is it low IQ or just having so much money you can't remember how to assess what you are spending?!

They had a discussion at Mensa in regards to this coin mech subject.
They decided it was not worth discussing.

#4949 9 years ago

I couldn't believe this thread went 3 Days without a post!
I guess because there is nothing more to talk about until the official announcement comes from Rick that they have started shipping. Then watch this thread light up!
Can hardly wait until I have this beauty in my gamesroom!

#4999 9 years ago
Quoted from Konajack:

Spoke to Jared on the phone and got everything squared away.
All is good.

How's the Subway Diet working for Jared?

#5048 9 years ago

Not the coin mech deal again.
Are we not past that yet?

Odin Said -" I decided to wait to see exactly what I would be getting"

Hey Odin,
I believe you never had any intention of purchasing a MMRLE.
I checked your pinball wish list . Guess what. It's not on it!

#5097 9 years ago
Quoted from viper001:

Wrong, but you are learning. You are also disqualified from asking questions if you already own the older model. Because obviously anyone like that could have nothing to offer in the discussion and must have an agenda or axe to grind.
Personal attacks should start in three, two, one....

#5233 9 years ago

I've ordered Pinball Graffix Apron and Blades and also the Mantis Protector kit.
The Protector Kit has arrived. Still waiting on the Apron and Blades to arrive.
I sure hope it all fits.

#5241 9 years ago

Rick is taking note of the whiners and the non whiners.
Non whiners MMRLE get shipped first.
Whiners get shipped when they stop Whining!

#5243 9 years ago

I couldn"t have said it any better!

Rick probably has taken to hiding from the angry mob

I'm sure there will be an update shortly.
