Rick... some great news indeed. Glad I'm on board.

I too prefer the smooth (not hammered / textured) black. I also think Rick reads these posts and appreciates the feedback. There may be a reason he choose the hammered look. I'm really looking forward to seeing the game(s) in person at PAGG in 2 weeks.
At this moment, I'm back on the fence. Do I go gold / steal or hammered. I ultimately prefer / want the smooth nickle black. I really don't want to take off the metal and have it done later.
Thanks Rick for the update, we do appreciate it!
If the trim needs a powder coat... I would think the masses preference would be the best choice. More people with their preferences (gold? black? purple?) would certainly mean more sales and happier customers. IMHO
BTW Rick... I'm sure I speak for a lot of Pinheads. We really appreciate you bringing your MMr to the pinball events for show & feedback.
Thanks Kerry
Quoted from PPS:I will see about getting a gloss black version to see how that is.
Great news... Thanks Rick!
Me too... really bummed that the MMr won't make it's appearance at PAGG. I too have $$$ in on it as well.
Oh well, I'm sure if Rick felt it was best not to show it now, it will only be better later. BTW: Thanks for the "shiny black" powder coat as an option.
Man I'm not feeling the love for purple. I'm very glad Rick & Co. are offering a few color options tho. I'm leaning towards shiny black... however, would love to see gold in person, before I decide. Hopefully PPS will have the color options at CAX in 4 weeks.
Quoted from Pimp77:AND it's going in the dining room and there's not a damn thing she can do about it!
That's the problem... it's going in the Master Bedroom!
Wow, I was Black all the way, until the 3 picts. The gold is looking really good!
Rick, will you have any games or trim samples at CAX in 2 1/2 weeks?
I was originally in for Black, then I was leaning towards the gold, after picts were posted, this past week.
I went to BAA in San Jose today to look at leg samples. I'm out on the gold, and back with black. The gold has a hint of mustard plus not shiny, and much less in the shiny gold/brass look (like the brass style habitrails), that I would have preferred.
Just my .02 worth.
Quoted from TaTa:considering everybody now that has seen it speaks negatively about it.
TaTa... please note: I'm not speaking negatively about the "gold". I personally don't care for it, like I do the trim on my IJ & TOM. It's not the same, in my opinion. With that, there are many who do like the "gold" with a hint of mustard.
Quoted from gaspumprob:Someone who has seen it in person please chine in and let me know how smooth the finish is compared to Stern's.
The black is way smooth! It's more of a semi-gloss black vs. gloss, but very smooth. I saw them (gold and black leg samples) today at BAA.
Pinball Life's Description reads; A nice "finishing touch" to any restored game. They should add; or NIB game
Quoted from EtaBeta:HAHAHAHAHAHA
