Quoted from gweempose:

Those decal protectors are the best innovation that Stern ever came up with. You guys should definitely look into them.

It seems to me that they did that based on all the complaints/warranty claims due to wrinkled decals. Seems like good insurance, but not a terribly big deal to put them on myself.

Thanks Rick - I'm proud to have purchased through you (assuming I get a reply on the game # soon so I can send my check in time!). I think you've provided enough for now and can probably ignore us and get to the fun part of getting the games ready to go.

Thanks again.

Quoted from BradKreisler:

Rick, a question on the game numbers on the LE.
Assuming your building the LE's in the order they were ordered, does buying a low number have any correlation with how early the order is built?

Similar question - how do we know where we are in the queue?

Read below for why some people might have a good reason to know:

If someone were to accidentally gotten two pre ordered due to crazy communications, each with a different distributor, how would he know which one to give back, assuming he wanted the keep the one that would have been built first? Right know it is in his best interest to keep them both until he gets the "shipping next week" call then drop the other. Would be best to determine it now so others in line could get their shot.

Quoted from LTG:

Three driver boards ( identical, interchangeable )

Sounds like a great idea!

Quoted from o-din:

What mentality? The point I'm making is that they can break, and if they do, they will need to be serviced. There was a weak spot on the troll cages. Maybe these will be better.

I think he means that making observations based on a small sample size is often misleading. I've heard this referred to as 'N=1'.

Quoted from indypinhead:

I'm wondering how soon it will be that those who purchased will know their "place in line".

+1. Some of us have choice to make and this will assist greatly.

My vote - smoke black chrome powder - much like black nickel but will last a lifetime.
.

Slick- imagine the wireforms the same color.

Maybe Tina Fey could do some custom call outs for each of us?

Quoted from PPS:

Yes, we will be at TPF with some proto's at least, and then at PAGG for sure. The theme of TPF is Medieval Madness (done before anyone knew about the mmr), so we will have a presence there.

I'll take delivery at TPF - will even set the machine up there for the weekend.
Thanks!

Fact is for all intensive purposes

Wow, must be very serious purposes!!

Quoted from Bryan_Kelly:

I would also love to take a look at the build quality.

I'd love to hear your review on that as well.

Quoted from PPS:

guys ... there is no fiscal incentive for wms ... hate to break the news to you ... so how is it then a legitimate discussion topic ... oy.

Its NONE of our business... but it is a curious and seemingly odd contractual arrangement with regards to licensing, approvals, economic incentives, etc. Again, none of our business! carry on. Look forward to the discussions regarding trim options, the "LE other", shipping dates, etc!

Which is why you don't need to worry about a Rollergames remake ever hitting the market.

Nice Rollergames for sale, $3,999.

Well - I don't smoke, and I have no interest in visiting Texas

I thought he just didn't like his name written on his cigars.

I did feel the LEDs needed a herg board type control - I talked to the engineer who said they had done some to correct but would take the concern back to the team. For me, its very important. There is a reason I've bought 3 OCD-LED.

#3175 10 years ago

I would still love to see a herg (LED-OCD) style PWM on those LEDs to control the instant on/off, but TPF moved me back to the "keep it" side of the decision for me!

Another update on the additional menu controls -...Incandescent (inserts) emulation!
http://www.planetarypinball.com/mmr-update-cgc-menu-display-color-flipper-strength-incandescent-emulation/

Quoted from frolic:

Thank you for this. Now it's like having a built-in LED OCD.

+1

I was one of the ones at TPF who spoke the engineer about this - the inserts without this change were my only complaint. I really appreciate this update and from the video it looks great!

Quoted from Rarehero:

Did anyone like the gold trim in person? Maybe I'm crazy but from most of the pics I think it looks pretty cool. Looks like it's got some sparkle in it...like a gold version of what Stern did for Metallica LE.
Rick - why does the black variation have that pitted look to it?

I've wavered on the mustard. Part of me likes it.... No sparkle that I remember, just flat mustard gold. I think brettbutler posted some good pics of it in one the tpf threads.

Quoted from pezpunk:

well, that's not really true. a few people did said it looked good in person.

I saw it.. have been on the fence between it and stainless. If I have to choose today I'd go with the mustard.
