As long as MMR is build to original specs, the PinWize mods are fully interchangeable!
Btw... The Damsel mod is in development. Have a very nice idea for it Will be ready way before MMR comes out...

I've posted it before... but here's an image of my restored MM with 'standard' Williams coindoor + gloss black powdercoat trims. It looks real nice, without the imperfections in the material. I even did the ball wires in black powdercoat.
My advice would be to not to use stainless steel as base material for coated trims, but normal steel if possible. It seems to be very hard to coat stainless itself. Which leaves you with just the option to powdercoat. When using normal steel instead, you COULD easily (super high gloss / metallic) spraycoat the trims without the risking the finish to fall off. Coating stainless steel needs the surface to be beat up pretty bad before any type of coating to stick enough.
Just my two cents...
2.JPGAlthough I'm not in myself I fully understand the people who take the trim issue serious. If you spend 8K on a machine and you get an option offered you want the best possible. For sure getting black gloss through aftermarket is WAY MORE labor extensive + the risk of ruining the artwork is serious! Plus you just don't want to do such an adjustment to your newly acquired machine!
Getting the gloss trim straight away should not be as difficult as it might seem. In my opinion it's unthinkable the current manufacturer is not able to produce let's say 900 sets of siderails + lockbars out of regular steel / aluminium (prepped for painting) instead of stainless steel. This would even save Rick some money since regular steel is less expensive than stainless. Also newly made trims will not have dents or scratches, so the argument of seeing material faults through gloss coat does not hold IMO.
Let the battle go on...
