I looked up some old MM threads about this - Merlin bounce-outs are a pain in the butthole on the original, too...seems like there are a few workarounds. Here's what I did. I put two washers between the scoop assembly and the playfield and screwed it back in - this lowers the assembly so the ball hits more of the curved part and is aimed downward more effectively. I have MUCH better success now, far less bounceouts. To compensate for the ball being lower, I kicked up the popper power in the CGC menu. Every so often it still takes a few pops to kick it out - but I prefer that to the bounce-outs for sure.

Not at all. It's not the be-all-end-all of games (for me, anyway)...but it's so cool having a NIB Williams (sorta) game....brand new, perfect glassy clearcoat, bright and clean without having to fix up a beater. I'm definitely enjoying it a lot. I never had one or played it enough to be jaded by it - so I'm enjoying the challenge of trying to get to the wizard mode (which I haven't been able to do yet).

That means they're not loading the code update that should be loaded on production games by now. It fixes that bug & the screen tearing. Contact Chicago Gaming and ask them for the update.

I brought it up to Doug, so they're aware and it's something that they are able to adjust. It's not all the callouts, though. I think the only ones that need a "boost" are the various "Castle Bosses" (or Kings or whatever you wanna call them). The princesses, trolls and others sound like they're mixed at a good level.

It's the same as the original. Not individual holes, but a long one you can slide up or down. Default from factory is wide open.

That's F'd up....and if you cancel, they're selling the LEs for $8500...so, they'll just make another $500 if you back out.


Love my LE, glad I've had it for a year...but until CGC does a full communications and production turnaround, I'm out on any future projects.

If your inserts are set to any version of "incandescent emulation", press the left flipper, the fade turns off. Press right, it turns back on. Just stare at your inserts and press left, right, left, right...if you don't see it - well, good for you for not having to be annoyed by it lol ....Rick already said on the PPS forum that they figured out why it's happening & a bug fix update will hit today or tomorrow.

If anyone's having this issue, leveling has nothing to do with it. You need to adjust/bend your ball guide so that the ball is aimed to the flipper, not the sling. Just a hair, too much will probably send it down the middle.

Heres a pic of my guide, I had to adjust it too. It was really tight against the post sleeve. Notice how it splays out a tad at the bottom? That was the adjustment to send it on the right course. You should remove the plastics and post sleeve to adjust.

Definitely when they pop up. Pretty sure when they hit. Check out your shaker settings. For some reason the new code changed the defaults to off or low.

Yes. If you tweak the guide as I described, both slow and fast shots will hit the flipper.

Any chance for a translucent dragon? There's a flasher inside the dragon, but you don't even really see it...if that flasher could actually light up the dragon, that would be rad!

Nah, it's just an LCD display with an input. Just as you can watch TV on a 20 inch screen or a 60 inch screen, they should be able to make a "Jumbo Screen Kit" for MMr.

I reported this to PPS in 2017....but I don't think there has been a code update in a while. I've wanted them to increase the volume of the castle kings or...they've always been too low in the mix compared to the other voices which sound fine (princesses, trolls, Merlin, etc)

Well, yeah - semantics - just wondering if this volume adjusted file was based on the most current firmware or one of the older versions.

They've always been that way. All the castle bosses are too low. Rick/CGC knows this but won't release an official update for it for some reason.
