Not trolling here but genuinely interested.

Any MMR owners actually regret getting one now that it's in the house?

I'm down for a black one and to be honest I'm bored of waiting and not impressed in the slightest about the communication. None of the UK buyers still have dates for delivery, so doubt it will be before Autumn.

The last couple of times I've played MM I've felt it's good but not the be all and end all of pinball. If I'm being truthful to myself I know I rate both AFM and AC/DC as better games for me. (although I have always loved the ball going through the wall)

I originally decided to get one partly because my kids enjoy it but I'm now really undecided between staying in or pulling out and using the cash to buy a couple of more modern machines (or maybe an original MM and another cheap game. I've passed on 2 since the announcement of the remake as I wanted a new one but I think that's my heart ruling my head)

Part of me wants to stay in as the machine will be all new and shiny but it's a lot of cash to keep tied up. If I go through with the purchase I know it'll need to be a keeper unless I want to take a huge loss on it

Any thoughts from owners? Do any of you have any regrets at all? Anyone in the camp of "it's OK but I'm bored with it after a month"?

Any feedback appreciated. I've been going back and forth on this one for the last couple of months and really can't make my mind up.

Much as I like my MMr do people really think it's the best game ever? Personally I'd take AC/DC or TWD over it anyday. Even only considering 90s games I prefer AFM and TAF. Don't get me wrong, it's a good game just not the best ever for me.

If you're undecided about the game then from my experience the game itself is good. Well built but their customer service is fucking dreadful. The playfield printing is annoying, frankly the claim that it's down to LEDs is bullshit as the inserts are clearly too thin when the lights are off. God only knows when the colour update will come or how much it will be. The tearing issue is annoying and although this is allegedly fixed they seem to be spending all their time on trying to find a way to copy protect their new software rather than looking after existing customers.

I'm dreading anything major going wrong as I can't see that they give a flying fuck about their customer base. The slingshot issues showed this. So did their cheapness of not shipping power leads to the UK customers. It's small things like this that almost certainly means that I have no intention of buying another title from them which is a shame as the actual manufacturing is good.

Lloyd is almost certainly right (as normal) but I also had a problem with one of the trolls not registering properly. Turned out that the bolts holding the switch to the head had come lose. You could feel the head wobble if you pushed it Bit of a pain getting to the bolts but simple enough fix. Guess it hadn't been tightened enough when initially assembled.

Anyone else had issues with the sound on MMR?

Since installing the colour upgrade chip couple of times I've been playing and the sound decreases to about 1% of it's normal level. Pushing the colour video chip in to the socket firmly seems to solve it but the trolls popping up seem to work the chip loose. The original chip came with a cable tie that held it in securely but this needed to be cut to install the new chip (as per the instructions).

Anyone else had this issue? And is the solution to try and install a new cable tie around the chip?
