It certainly is odd. I'm looking for an SE as well and they are proving hard to find. CE's and Royals are available, but not too many SE's. The SE's might turn out to be the rarest version... 
Per my local distributor...from what he knows and the information he has, a total of 500 MMr's are being made in this specific 2019/20 run. Mostly CE's and Royal's (greatest demand for these two versions (CE and LE/Royal) based upon demand from the last production run a few years ago). The SE will be the least produced version, who knows how many that will be...

I've had this issue twice. Once on a T3 on the ball save out lane (coil shorted against metal) and most recently on my MBr le launch coil, also shorted against the metal. The paper that covers the coils is easily torn.
Went to a local distributor yesterday to pick up some parts and asked the sales guy if he has any updates on mmr (regular and SE) delivery dates. He let me know that CGC has told them that they should expect there first shipment to arrive at the end of January or early to mid February...Remaining hopeful...for now...

Player One is great. Easy to deal with, and like you said $1000 down at order time and the rest when its ready for pick up or delivery.
Does anyone know if the new soon to be produced/shipped mmr's (regular and SE) come with any sort of protectors installed at CGC. I have a mbr-le and it has a couple of factory installed cliffy's.
Just wondering if I should buy at complete set...or not

Agreed, with the way things are going world wide with supply chain issues, labor resources, material shortages and many many other various issues, I wouldn't be surprised if it was 2024 or 25
