Has anyone installed pinstaduims using the hover mounts. Not sure how the left side would attach since the cannon trail is there. I was thinking about adding a set but dont really want to run the magnet strip on my mirror blades.
Quoted from evh347:Yes, I’ve installed on my machine.
Here’s an idea: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/new-pin-stadium-lights-official-announcement/page/95#post-5047266
Thanks for that i will do some reading.
Quoted from gambit3113:Does anyone know of anywhere in the US that sells the double headed dragon that replaces the right ramp dragon? I want the PinWize one, but I have so many damned packages from international sellers caught in slowboat shipping container limbo right now that I dare not add another to the issue.
Found 1 on ebay. There are a few other colors
They are made by papo
So I am having a problem with my mmr standard edition. It will play fine for a day or two. Then a couple of days later i will get the play field has lost communication error and it will have blown the high voltage fuse that controls all of the coils. I can replace the fuse and reseat the cat 5 cable and it will boot up and play for a few days. Then it repeats. The shooter coil mount has been covered in electrical tape and the coil lugs have been covered with heat shrink so i dont think it's there. Looking around the bottom of the playfield I didn't see any thing that was rubbing or arcing on anything. Should I try replacing the ppu board? Anything else I need to check. I did reach out to cgc and they didnt know what the issue is.
Quoted from seah2os:I've received my MM Royal, and have been wondering if any MM owners have had wear issues with the bare wood in front of the ball lock? If so, what did you do to protect it? Mylar, at least? I've noticed Cliffy's doesn't offer a protector for it in his kit, so maybe it's a non-issue. Thanks!

The protector is made by mantis. Little house of games has a mantis kit for 45. A little cheaper then the mantis web site
Quoted from bent98:Anyone know?
Pretty sure it's the catapult hole and the castle hole behind the castle.
Quoted from bent98:So far I am 0 for 2 on the hooked on pinball castle emblem and flipper swords. anyone have any luck keep them adhered? Of course surfaces were clean with alcohol and clamped prior to.

Had to superglue mine. They wouldnt stick any other way.
I was thinking about doing the rgb upgrade. Is the playfield still dark with them added? I had to add the barrel spot lights to light up the middle of the playfield with the normal warm light leds.
Quoted from Cayenne:are the barrels still available and do they work with the Royal Edition?
I have the classic edition. So they used one of the gi bulbs under the slings for power. Could tap in power somewhere else I would imagine. Not sure if the mod couple got them back in yet.
Looks like planetarypinball.com is sold out of the gi upgrade. Not sure what that means. But if your on the fence this might be the time to pull the trigger from another provider.
I get my upgrades tomorrow. I have skimmed the last 30 pages. I have found the post to make the speakers go with the rgb lights. But couldn't find anything about the pop bumpers. Any know the post? I remember
reading there was something special to do. Might want to make both topics a key post on the thread.
Quoted from MrMikeman:The speaker lights is simple. Just put the wire in the right spot on the connector. The pop bumpers are not simple. You have to buy parts (RGB sockets and bulbs), take the pop bumpers apart to install and wire the new sockets, then splice them into the RGB GI. It also means taking many things apart (like removing ramps) just to access the pop bumpers.
Check the posts by kapsreiter in this thread. There isn't much of a guide but he does say which RGB pop bumper boards he used.
Thanks. No biggie on the tare down. It's time for a good cleaning anyways.
Has anyone in the US done the pop bumper rgb mod? Looks like the rgb boards that was posted from post before won't Ship here to the states. Not sure what boards to buy.
Quoted from northvibe:Just need to know on the original german ones, is it +, 1, data in, data out? There are some chinese rings that could work, but just need the wires/pinout for what is required. Adafruits are 5v, these chinese ones are 12v.
Looks like its. 12v. 1 positive. The red, green and blue inputs.
Quoted from northvibe:These are worth a shot. They have the little nub cut out and the disc is only 20mm vs 26mm so it may fit without cutting.
http://lightsandparts.com/product/flat-round-rgb-3led-dimmable/
Thanks. I will look into these
Quoted from northvibe:let us know!
Otherwise the cheap way is to take a 12v rgb strip and just have the 4 wire leads and stuff that in the pop housing or do a ring around the cap.
Thought about the strips. I think it would look bad how they would have to lay in there.
Looks like that website is a wholesale web site. Can't but just a couple
Yea i have the kit. I was thinking if I could find a few extra bulbs I could make them fit in my pop and in my barrel spot lights. And just tie them into the closes strings.
Quoted from ktm450:Would these from Pinball life work?
https://www.pinballlife.com/p-roc-rgb-pop-bumper-board-assembly.html
I saw them. Looks like they are only 3v.

After all of that hunting. Found out that planetarypinball.com sells replacement rgb gi bulbs. Hope this helps someone else out in the future.
Quoted from Cayenne:are these spots available for MMR RE or SE?
I have not found them
Made buy mod couple. They are for the remake and the limited. They usually pull power from one of gi bulbs under the slings. You will have to add new rgb bulbs in them once you have your gi kit installed. I tapped into gi string 1. Planetarypinball.com sells the bulbs. They are 895 each. I fed the wires down the sling switch hole. 2 in each hole so it wouldn't bother the switch.
Quoted from Cayenne:Hi,
I would like to change the 4 post sleeves at the ramp entrance (Peasant, Damsel).
What do I have to dismount that I can pull off the rubbers? Are the two small screws at the ramp entrance only, or must be unscrewed more?
Thanks
You could just take off the ramp guard on both sides of the ramps. I don't think you have to remove the ramp.
Quoted from Cayenne:I tried, but the ramp sides are fixed, so only to remove the screw on top of the post sleeves was not succesful.
Thought they were held on by 2 screws( post and on on the ramp) You can remove the 2 tiny wood screws that hold the ramp down. Might give you enough to move the ramp up. If not you might have to remove the whole ramp
Got my pops tied into my rgb kit. Took a few hours but it lights up the playfield alot.
Ended up using spare gi bulbs thought I got from pps. The rgb strips or little pcb disk didn't have enough power to make the blue brite. Red and green were fine.

I see those for sale but I don’t see anyone selling the control board. Is that included with the XL display or one of the other upgrades ?
Yes the boards are included with the kits.
Quoted from Mrsiyufy:I installed the RGB GI kit and am wondering if it would be okay to plug one of the original GI strings back into the board and use it to power some mods that plug into 6.3v ?
I did this. I used the old connector and plugged it into the green board to power my merlin and trough light.
