Quoted from Backyardace:Would like to know if the new MMR has a melamine covered cabinet.
Mine does.

Quoted from Backyardace:Would like to know if the new MMR has a melamine covered cabinet.
Mine does.
Quoted from Backyardace:Do you have the new one made by Chicago Gaming Co?
Im not sure, how would i Know.. i just got it in August...
Quoted from Only_Pinball:I agree that $1k is nuts. What would everyone be willing to spend on this? I'd go $500
Quoted from highdef:For those who have done the RGB GI upgrade:
Was it worth the $250?
Do you feel it improves the game experience?
I ask because I am on the fence.
I pinged Planetary in October 2019 and requested to be added to the interest list. I haven't heard a peep since then.
Its a tedious job to replace the gi light but SOOOO worth it IF you like the look.
Any ideas as to what to do with the old display? Does it have any value on ebay for instance? It put it in a box and in a closet.. seems like a waste.
Since upgrading to V3 the shaker motor is insanely strong... anybody figure out how to tone it down?
Quoted from gunstarhero:That’s an interesting line to walk, especially after CGC already kinda flipped LE owners the bird with a Limited-er Edition.
As far as I’m concerned tho, if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck... GGC gave us an upgrade path and that’s all I could ask for really.
Agreed, Im just thrilled that CGC did not forget their customers and offered the upgrade kit. Game looks so much better now its incredible. But I agree with Lloyd as well, I would never expect to sell this for as much as a Royal Edition.
Yes, that is where you need to disconnect.. You dont need a tool, use an exacto knife to press down on the metal connector and pull it out carefully.
I installed the "lost" plastic from Westersiderkg.. high quality, looks so much better. I recommend it.
Quoted from Pin-Pilot:Here is a pic of my board in the head. Rev 1.1 on the main board. Not sure what board would be making the loud Bong. Can you look at yours and see if there is any difference?
I would like to get to the source of this bong and see if I can eliminate it. May just have to live with it if it is a board issue.[quoted image]
I have this same board and my bong is now loud after 3.0... thats the real issue is how LOUD it is... LOL
Quoted from northvibe:If anyone has the MMR GI kit, is it worth it? I've seen just 1 YT video and it seems pretty sweet. I liked the effects on afmr.
For my money its a MUST HAVE. Depending on your skill level its a 3-4 hour project.
Quoted from gunstarhero:I did the same thing. You need to update your software to 3.0.
100% you need to update to 3.0 BEFORE installing the larger screen.
Quoted from Paulatron:Spooky seem to hot glue a lot of their connectors in place on the boards, presumably to stop them vibrating out in transit and play. Just a dab on each end of the connector will do no harm and peels off easy for service.
100% it doesnt damage anything I did it on my WOZ with a lightboard that had a loss connector.
What is refreshing is how little posts there are regarding problems with MMR's... I have fixed almost nothing on my machine...
