Quoted from Parzival:d plays makes no difference. But, I’m pretty sure this one was legitamate at 68 as I had to show the seller how to run audits
The audits can be reset to zero.....

Oops thought I was on the afm thread

Haha, good point. To be safe going foward, I’ll assume there is 100,000 plays on my machine. Think it will still be fun tomorrow

This game will always be fun!
Quoted from brainmegaphone:I have a hard time believing people spend $8500 and use a game so little.
I don't understand this either. When our MMr delivered, we put that many plays on it in the first weekend! Maybe it's dependent on how long you've been in the game and how many machines you have. Maybe it's the thrill of the hunt...they want something new and shiny, but after 68 plays the honeymoon is over! There's always something else to be had.
Quoted from Riffbear:Whats this bit for? Is it a ball diverter?
Yes, diverts the ball.
Quoted from Riffbear:Can I remove it? (or will that cause major ball drains)
Your game, you can do what ever you want. It will cause major ball drains if removed.

Thanks mate!
(I won't talk about ball drains the way I'm thinking of them)
Quoted from Only_Pinball:That's odd. Mine doesn't have horns or a mustache!
Mines special.
Quoted from Riffbear:All good! I just fixed it!
I had to bend the switch a certain way to make it actually hit the button. So thats what the issue was.. It wasn't pushing down on the switch button under the wire..
Uuuurgh been years since I've had to do any of this stuff..
Its all flooding back now.. GET ME OUT OF HERE! hahaha.
Mine was bypassing the switch sometimes on the side like that so I stuck a strip of foam tape on the inside next to the switch to keep the ball over. Also mine was occasionally bouncing over the switch so another bit of foam tape on the roof fixed that.

Awesome!
As Ice Cube woud say "today was a good day). Joined the club and very happy to be back in this crazy hobby. Hope I am able to keep this ome forever. Went for the LE, so pretty. Too pooped to play it, but the wife had her customary first game and approved of the game.
Tonight we play at our house.

Ice Cube would also say "you gotta check yourself, before you wreck yourself" which is what it sounds like you did moving your pin in.
I definitely know that feeling!
Congrats on the game! It's number one for a reason and you have a lot of fun ahead

Welcome back to the hobby and welcome to the club. Also - that looks like a nice 720 next to it? Awesome!

Paperboy is next to 720 as well but honestly neither gets played much by friends and family. 720 will probably always stay do its unique controller that really cannot be emulated. Paperboy is a snore unfortunately.
Still drained from the mmr move, had to do a few stairs and man it made me feel old to carry it like ten feet without the dolly. Not nearly as heavy as TZ thankfully.
Oh and anyone know a easy way to pop the balls out? Test 21 sounded correct but did nothing. Just want to replace balls with new ones.

You could always pull out the high power interlock switch on the left side of the coin door opening ( two white switches, pull out knob on top one ) and then it will work.

Did not find that one in the manual.

Or pull out the white switch as noted?

Grand Champion? Meaning over 52,000,000? Congrats..
Quoted from marksf123:Looking forward to the MMr with the larger screen coming out soon.
They are working on an upgrade kit for this.
No idea if more MMRs are planned. With or without the bigger screen.

I had not heard this was for sure, was it recently announced there will be an upgrade kit?

I was told at TPF that testing was complete. Then make up instructions and packaging. At least a couple months.
No idea on cost or what is all included.

Can't wait!
I believe it was in this thread that Doug clarified (to LTG’s point) that it was a kit and that they were not going to sell a “new version” of MMr. This was in response to a bunch of perspective buyers holding off buying MMr assuming a new version with a larger screen was on the way.
It will be interesting to see what they do with new sales though because I imagine new buyers won’t want to buy two screens...
i got also the info that the upgrade for the big display will be ready in about 4 weeks
but i think the price will be about 1K
the price for the tft is already about 600$

Apparently the color chip will still be needed for it to work.
I am now in the club - I picked up the Pinball Refinery MMr at Pinfest...
Black Powder Coat Armour
Lasserific Topper
Upgrade Color Chip
Shaker Motor
3D Translite
Upgraded Backbox Speakers
Titan Flipper Rubbers
Tilt Graphics Side Panels
Tilt Graphics Magnetic Apron
Green Lit trolls
Two Headed Dragon with Blue eyes and red fire flashers
White LED Flasher added to light Dragon
Green LEDs under Trolls
Merlin Figure with lighted blue crystal ball
UV Lighting for castle destruction
Interactive Flashers on the long catapult plastic
Game looks great - excited to be part of the club
Quoted from SuperPinball:no announcement?
Maybe the one out on test ?
They won't announce until ready to ship.

Looks like the screen upgrade takes away space for the speakers....
Those speakers look smaller than the 5 1/4 that we have now.....
Being that I rarely look at the screen while playing, I don't know if the upgrade would be worth it to me.... especially if it is 1K...
That said..... I'd probably end up with it eventually.........

It is nice but really the screen (including color) isn’t a huge part of the game itself if you think about it. I don’t see it worth significant money but to each their own. I still don’t have even the color upgrade on mine.

No way that’s $1k! If it is they will sell less than 10.
