Yup! Totally fine.

True to the original which also does this!

Quoted from Okarcades:Color changing castle mod. Non destructive and only cost $3 and 20 minutes
That looks sweet, what did you use and where did you place it?
I'm looking for options (other than Mirror Blades) for the interior side walls of my MMr. I know that Treasurecove makes them, but I've seen quite a few different designs. Can someone chime in where else to get them?
Joined by the club today...its an LE. Playfield protector, color chip, titan rubber everywhere, lighted star posts. Its a distributor game and I'm told it has some special animations that arent in the stock LE game. Already added a purple backboard light to it. Game is like new!
Had an issue where ball was getting stuck in the damsel drop. Added a nut under the castle top to raise it and that fixed it. Had to take ramp and wireform out...no big deal, 30 minute job. Illl get more pics up.

Joining the club sometime next week and very excited. What are the must have mods for the game?
So far I'm getting the color upgrade and plastic protectors.
Are cliffys / mantis protectors necessary in a home environment?
What else?
I have them both and would recommend. They were not super difficult to install except the mantis for Merlin I could not get that one to work.
Has anyone changed the stock black rubbers to any other color? I've heard purple looks cool. Anyone have pictures?
hi guys
just joined the club. i love me some MMr. i added a couple of lights but really havent notice a need for some mods. I am interested in the trolls. anyone have an idea on where to get the trolls figures.

Here is an original in Titan silicone purple rings.

lol its like Barney meets Medieval Madness. Its different but still looks good though.

yes, no.
One of my trolls has almost stopped registering hits. Even smacking it pretty hard head on doesn't always register. Are there good instructions anywhere on how to adjust sensitivity?
Is this a common problem? Both trolls registered well out of the box, only recently this became a problem.
Quoted from Lermods:Rough crowd...i really like it, maybe its the camera exaggerating the effect.
You turned a game that's primarily orange, red yellow.. and covered it in blue. It looks like crap IMHO. Also need to sticker the left troll target (or remove the right sticker) so they match.
Quoted from Adams:Are there good instructions anywhere on how to adjust sensitivity?
It's a leaf blade switch. Two leafs. One on the troll face, one behind it. Gently tweak/bend the one behind it a tiny bit closer.

or wider if they are already touching. Sometimes they fail to register since they are closed and a hard hit will bounce them open then re-close to score. Check the matrix to verify its open before changing it.

I think someone was having some fun with you.

Lloyd is almost certainly right (as normal) but I also had a problem with one of the trolls not registering properly. Turned out that the bolts holding the switch to the head had come lose. You could feel the head wobble if you pushed it Bit of a pain getting to the bolts but simple enough fix. Guess it hadn't been tightened enough when initially assembled.

Yeah, who knows, but it was a good price so I didnt bother to inquire on it....certainly didn't pay more based on that. It was manufactured in July 2016, I hadn't realized LEs were still being made.
Quoted from dluth:Haven't heard that one before...
Quoted from Pimp77:Yeah, I'd be surprised if true.
It's true, sort of. It's not the animations that are different, but the colorization in some scenes that only distributors receive in their games. I think what I have is a demo game, but it's barely been touched and is only about 3 months old. I have no way to compare it to a stock game to say if the colorization is better or worse.
Quoted from venom112:Does anyone know how to turn the knocker off I can't seem to find it in the settings menu
I believe there's no option, you have to disconnect the wires to the knocker. It's loud, so I added a piece of foam to the area the knocker hits and it dampened the effect dramatically but it's still loud enough to be satisfying. I'd try that if the loudness of the knocker is your issue.

Yes it is thanks for the reply I will try the foam sounds like a decent option

Remove the knocker fuse; it's F4 on the small circuit board located in the right front corner of the cabinet. This card also has a very nice enable LED that lights up whenever the CPU tells the knocker to fire.

Even better and easy thanks for the reply I think I will go that route.
Has anyone installed a full playfield protector for MMR? Where did you get it? Do you have any install tips? I see some from rop...
I didn't Install one, but my game came with one. I like it but don't have a good point of comparison. My game plays very fast.
Quoted from Pmaino:Hey everyone. I'm looking to replace the Warm GI bulbs on my MMr to cool. Has anyone done this to theirs? Any pictures to share?
Here is mine with cool white. Much better. I also turned the Backbox light all the way down for less glare.
Picture doesn't do the cool whites justice.
Yes all comet 2 SMD frosted. The clear didn't light the Play field up quite enough and you could see the lines on the plastics from the LEDs. I tried it first with clears but then changed them all back to frosted.

I usually buy from Comet and was wondering if anyone has tried out the Optix Maximus bulb for GI?
I use quasar from comet. Now i see enough when i play my game in a dark room
Hi all. New to the group here. I'm having an issue with my MMR. The drawbridge will not go up/down.
Errors returned:
Check Drawbridge - Down switch bad
Check Drawbridge - Up switch bad
Well, from what I've gathered so far, it doesn't seem that when you turn the game on the actual motor works to cycle the drawbridge to test the switches.
I've been looking at the playfield board schematic....and I have determined I have no real idea what I'm looking at. But I have found that the wires from the motor go directly to a little board (Motor Control Board) in the lower left corner of the underside of the playfield. Then, from what I can tell, they appear to go up to the main playfield board and plug into PL9.
How do I go about testing this to see if power is actually getting to the Motor control board. The playfield schematic says (I think) there is a fuse somewhere for the motor, but I'm not exactly sure where.
Thanks in advance for any troubleshooting tips.
I did create a screen capture of the part of the playfield schematic I don't understand...

And here is the schematic for the Motor Driver Board:

Pinball decals is where I think it came from. I think they want like $500 for it. Glad my game came with it.
I am also having date/time problems. Got the credit dot, but a new battery fixed that.
Now the game just seems to lose time but not the entire date, so the credit dot for date not set isn't happening anymore. BUT that said this thing is no Timex for sure. Its like the clock is only running when the game is turned on or something.
Quoted from KloggMonkey:this thing is no Timex for sure
You got that right, I turned mine on today for the first time in over a month and the date/time is off by over 2 days ... but in the future, it thinks it today is the 22nd. Date/time set again.

Maybe they got their board design from the TWZ camera. Wait I won BftK 3 days from now??!! Seems like it was yesterday.
