I was told there would be 350 Royal's made, but I am sure that # could change. Still waiting on my shipping date...
Quoted from PtownPin:Nah....no big deal....happy for u guys....have they provided any information on upgrading the RGB kit ?
no not yet, was looking in the website for instructions but nothing - maybe CGC-Ryan could share them ?

There isn't anything on line.
I haven't gotten them yet. My understanding is that good detailed instructions ship with the kits.

I never thought I’d own one. Imagine. Most popular pin of all time. Remade with modern technology even better. New in box. I’m so amazed I’m afraid to open it. Well, that and I need to finish other pin projects to make room for it.
I was playing the other day and now all of the sudden the balls are having trouble making it from trough to shooter lane. Ball goes up and comes back down. Happens intermittently. What is the best way to fix that?
Quoted from monte_:Here is the picture where ball comes out and getting stuck.

My MMRLE started doing that for a week or so then the problem just went away. It was really strange. Works 99.9% of the time now on first try.

The coil or coil assembly is probably loose.

Is the table leveled side to side?
Quoted from Highscoresaves:Is the table leveled side to side?
Yes it is very level side to side.
I have the same problem with my MBr...don't know what it causing it.
It seems to happen mostly when trying to start multiball (i.e. when the trough is less than full), but whenever I try to diagnose the problem it goes away.
Frustrating.

First thing to try is making the Trough Pop Strength stronger in the CGC menu. Page 1-10 in the manual on how to access it or this video -
Next thing is if the ball hits the metal flap that should divert it to the shooter lane and bounces back down, then this. For WOZ but same principle :

At least for me, the problem seems to be that the kick is inconsistent. Most of the time it is fine, but sometimes it seems to get a weak kick that doesn't make it up to the top. It does not look like the flap is the problem.
I have a similar problem with the ball launching. Most of the time it's fine, but sometimes it gets a weak kick that fails to put the ball into play and it rolls back down the shooter lane. I have tried adjusting the strengths, but, while it DOES make the "normal" kicks stronger, it still gets a "weak" kick about 10%-20% of the time.
The trough is the bigger problem for me. Occasionally, it has such a problem starting multi-ball that the ball-saver is finished before it has successfully launched all the balls. It seems like it happens more often when the trough is not full - but that may just be because it is more frustrating in that case.

Coil sleeve installed correctly and in there ? Nothing loose ?

Did you get the GI upgrade as well? What does that entail? I'm stillllll waiting...and am very jealous
Edit: Just noticed you have to drill new holes! Drilling into the game is always scary to me...
yes I did but these aren't my upgrades, some buddies in the UK. Mine arrives tomorrow, and yes that's the bit of the upgrade I'm most nervous about although Ryan did say that whilst its time consuming its not hard.
also make sure you upgrade to 3.0 before starting...

Quoted from Lame33:The most unexpected thing is how long it takes to boot. First time I turned it on, I thought it was dead.
They do take a bit to boot. Well worth the wait. Enjoy your new game!
I set my RE up on Friday night flipped the switch and the playfield blinked for a sec and then just dark. I thought ohh crap it’s dead on arrival and my heart sank. Then a few seconds later the screen can to life and all was good. Felt a lot better after the first game.
Quoted from monte_:I was playing the other day and now all of the sudden the balls are having trouble making it from trough to shooter lane. Ball goes up and comes back down. Happens intermittently. What is the best way to fix that?
Mine did the same thing over the weekend. It was so bad the game went into ball search and then the ball ended after it counted 4 balls in the trough. I could see it hitting the metal diverter flap and falling back down. I think the balls got stacked and the kicker could not push both up hard enough to get the top ball out. Once they all got flat in a row in the trough it did not happen again. If it does I will adjust the diverter a bit and see if that fixes it. The problem happens when two balls get stacked on top of the VUK.
First upgrade MMR LE goes to Julian Not sure if he is on pinside! Still waiting for the RGB kits apparently although mine is supposed to arrive today. Topper isn’t on as he is waiting for a wider drill bit to rub the cables down the top.

My kit arrives at 3pm UK time and I’ll be streaming the build!
Quoted from Lame33:MM-4243 arrived today. First nib and an amazing game.
I've got some cliffy's and titan rings to install, but mostly just enjoying it so far.
The most unexpected thing is how long it takes to boot. First time I turned it on, I thought it was dead.
Yes I thought the same thing as well. I do know my MBLE at least has the speaker lights that come one right away while it boots up so you know its working. I wonder if they could do some sort of code thing to make that happen with MMRE
NeilMcRae Yep I'm on Pinside.
A word from the wise (thanks for help on this Neil) BEFORE you fit the XL display upgrade to v3 of the game firmware.
This display has got me wanting the other two games now lol
Doing the topper install tomorrow when my 1½" drill bit arrives, not looking forward to that!
No instructions for the topper install which is poor considering the cost of the kit!
Quoted from gunstarhero:Glad to see y'all getting yours tho.
It's just the lucky guys in the UK getting the kits as they were shipped over in a container with machines. They haven't started shipping USA orders yet. Hopefully soon!
Quoted from gunstarhero:I still haven't seen an email from Planetary since February...
Glad to see y'all getting yours tho.
I haven't either...been on their list since last October
Quoted from Scott9:Just unboxed my Royal today... 4258, which I am guessing is Royal #58????
[quoted image][quoted image]
That would be Royal #258 (of 350)
Quoted from Inferno:Finally! Definitely worth the wait. Royally stoked
Looks great.
Hey guys- dont forget to post in the MMRRE-Tracking thread - at some point it would be nice to have Pinside actually create a sub category for it in the Top 100 as well
Quoted from sugarhillabe:Just received today my MMR alternate translite from Brian Allen @ Flyland Designs! Looks great and I think Brian did a great job! My only question now is if I should still get the new topper or just limit myself to the RGB lighting update!
[quoted image]
New topper is definitely cool- I do find that it has great detail on the figures but the light show is not as nice as the MBRLE's
The game looks so much better with this change - thanks again to CGC for making this update available and thanks for developing it for AFM and MB.
Now we are waiting the GI update which we think has a a crucial board that controls all the lights on the topper, the speakers and the LED GI. But from my POV I'm super happy and happy to wait for the rest of the kit. Thanks to Doug_Duba and CGC-Ryan
Cheers,
Neil.
Quoted from NeilMcRae:not sure why pinside has started to do that with photos!
It is not necessarily pinside, but the web browsers. The problem is when the camera (or phone) is rotated, the image is still written in the original pixel order (so the image itself looks rotated). There is metadata in the image that says how it should be rotated, but that information is not read or written in a manner that is standard across all software (rotating images 90 degrees typically just modifies that metadata instead of actually touching the image data). I've had the same problem with images being hosted on my website. I had to write a script I run on the images that rotates the actual image and removes that metadata so all browsers show the image correctly for my various websites.
Question, isn’t the drawbridge to the castle drop all the way down when it first lowers? Mine sits up at a 20 Degree angle and I have to hit it a couple times before it levels out.
