What a story you can tell guests:
“Yes, I really did wait for a year for this to be built for me.”
“Really? Like ordering a Lamborghini?”
“Yep. Just like that.” ( sips martini with a slight grin)

I’ve watched the Marc Savard and Tennler YT videos (probably) dozens of times over the last 12 months...watching them neurotically wait for their delivery and then their reactions on the day it finally arrived was hilarious.
But now, I get it and I should probably record my own reaction because it will be epic (if it ever arrives).
Quoted from Lame33:I've got my order in with Kingpin and he's been quick to respond even when I send him all the stupid questions that I've bugged him with for the past year that I've been on this train.
Yesterday he responded to my email in 8 minutes and was just as quick with the follow ups. Despite the fact that I don't have a game yet, I've been extremely pleased.
I think the bigger issue seems to be CGC's lack of transparency and communication. I've seen posts from many vendors and buyers on here mentioning that they are in the dark about the game's status. They make a great game, I just wish they were more open and forthright like Spooky.
I've seen this movie three times with CGC....yes they make a great game, but they NEVER make schedule, and the wait starts to get very frustrating to the point I don't think I'll ever pre order another game from them...I'll just wait until they have NIB models available or buy a nice HUO game....
Quoted from evh347:We are officially in JJPOTC territory now.
I ordered from GAP and I can’t even get a reply as to what is going on. Has the stay @ home order prevented people from answering emails now too? This would be my fourth NIB machine I’ve purchased from GAP and I feel like I’ve been put on ignore.
Every other business in the world emails regular CVD19 updates and what they’re doing to take care of their customers in the interim...and I get them almost daily. Apparently pinball makers and distributors are exempt from the same customer service.

I just found out yesterday for the first time that they were even rolling these off the line.

I think Planetary has the most pull with CGC
Quoted from YZRider926:Just dropped off #3 going by serial.
Happy for you dude! Awesome.
Mine’s stuck in fedex purgatory somewhere.
Quoted from YZRider926:How do you install the topper? I don’t see how I’m the Manuel and no cable are labeled.
Well, after seeing TimBoch MMr SE...I can tell you the electronics in the backboard are different than MBr, but this is where the topper goes on MBr.
Seeing as how you are one of a select few to get one...help from the forum members will likely be just between you three.

who did you buy it from?
Planetary
I have an MBR LE too so Ill take a look at that. I noticed somebody figured it out already. Maybe mine just isn't labeled. There is 4 connectors coming off the topper.
Quoted from YZRider926:How do you install the topper? I don’t see how in the Manual and no cables are labeled.
Screw holes on top.
Match up connectors with empty spots on the board. They are keyed, so you can't get one in a wrong spot. A little patience and you'll figure it out. And single connector match up wire colors on both sides.
LTG : )

Thanks Lloyd. I’ll take a look at it later on. Working from home so didn’t have a lot of time to mess with it.

We had this same question, thankfully the wire length kind of give a clue, and some of them are indeed keyed, but two had the same pinout.
Here is how we did it and it all checked out in the test menu, hope this helps...

Installed the Mantis protectors, 3/4 weren't that bad. Merlin hole was a PITA, there's not a lot of gap between the kickout plunger and the wall of the hole for the Mantis to use. I had to angle the plunger a bit away from the hole wall using washers between the coil mount and bracket. From the factory the coil/plunger was actually tilted a bit outward toward the hole edge, it wasn't straight up and down, leaving even less clearance for the protector. I did end up drilling and using a screw on the front moat protector, that empty screw hole would have bugged me.

Thank you that will help a lot.

I had the same questions on the AFM topper. There were no instructions so you ended up matching connectors and wire lengths
MMR -> MMR Widescreen super fucking epic LE version upgrade parts have shipped to the UK, on a container so may take a while to arrive...
Neil.

Yeah I remember messing with that and thinking what the hell haha. MBr was easy.

Beautiful!!
I measured the total height of the machine and topper at just under 85", so 90" would give you plenty of room.
We also ordered from Planetary Pinball, very happy with them.
I had a little confusion installing the topper as well, but the picture by jarozi should help. All 4 wires attach to the topmost circuit board in the backbox. The three multicolored, shorter wires attach to the upper right connectors labeled RGB5, RGB3, and RGB4. The longer wire with brown, yellow, and orange wires connects to the nine pin bottom left side labeled AUX2.
Those three CGC games look great together!
Installed the Lermods undercab lighting kit, syncs with speakers/GI, here's what it looks like in action...
All three CGCs in a row. That is sick.
Well done!
Imagine how good Cactus Canyon is going to look in the fourth spot.

Looks great! I see your sub. Did you connect it with a sub out kit (like Sterns and a pinnovator's kit) or can you connect directly from a factory audio out jack on a board (like you can on JJPs)? This will be my first CGC.
Thanks

Thanks! Yes, direct connect to the factory subwoofer via alligator clips.
Using something like this guy sells, but made my own: https://pinside.com/pinball/market/shops/1176-gweem-s-mods/02289-10-ft-external-subwoofer-cable

I had been using alligator clips from the cabinet speaker to the sub on all my games and then I tried the pinnovators kit and I feel the bass is much cleaner and crisper. I also use their mixer to allow hook up of four games to one sub and it also allows for individual game volume control for bass effects. Nice products they have. I am not affiliated with them in any way, just like their stuff.
And glad you like the undercab lights, we appreciate the business.

I second the pinnovators kits. Its relatively cheap and a great product.
Between my tax refund and the stimulus money, also returning to work, I paid off my MMRRE. Sara was fantastic to talk to.
I’ll be seeing it next month? Not sure.
I use pinnovators pinsub kits on all of my Sterns. They work flawlessly and the connection is clean and easy.
With JJP's I always direct connect with a splitter coming off of the motherboard audio out jack. American Pinball also. Is this possible with CGC's as well? If not, I will look into other options.
I do NOT recommend connecting speaker wires with alligator clips on speaker terminals. I wouldn't use alligator clips on any part of a pinball machine for that matter...

Been doing it for years. Sub under every pin, clipped onto woofers. Huge improvement. Never an issue.
Of course I did install pinwoofer system on my IJ. Damn. Just...damn. Man knows his shit!
Same here. Sub connected to all my pins via the subs terminals. Soldered not clipped but same hookup. Never a problem . Huge difference!

Yeah it was a switch error. It’s fixed now.
Quoted from kapsreiter:Which software version is installed at the new MMR
is there a way to backup it?
at the website is still V2.0.2a
so we could tr< it with a AFM dmd panel
see above post #5487, Code 3.0.0 beta 3 is installed
I'm trying to add a custom image to the MMR RE, and getting an "SD Card Cannot be Mounted" error message. I've tried 2 cards so far. When the first didn't work I ordered the exact one CGC links you to on their support pages and I get the same message. Has anyone with 3.0.0 been able to load a custom image?

Get that sucker out of the box with lots of pics as you go - the rest of us have to live vicariously thru you lucky few that have received your games
