MMR Upgrade Update:
We still do not have an official update from CGC, but we have been told the MMR Royal Edition should start shipping in March. The individual upgrade items should follow right after. We will keep everyone informed as to how the ordering process will go when we have a better ETA. There is no need to reply back, if you got this message then we have you down for upgrades and everyone will have a chance to get what they requested as soon as they become available. Thank you!

Yes must be noted! Kits, topper etc won’t be available until March or April after royal editions. With any luck I’ll just pick up my topper order from Chris at MGC.

I am really enjoying the modern touch of RGB lighting. It changes color to fit the moods for various things, while still being warm white like the original when nothing special is going on.

I was floating around wondering if I'd just see the upgrade parts get listed on Planetary Pinball as well but I decided to get proactive a couple of days ago and check with our local distributor. He told me in no uncertain terms get an order in (and pay a deposit) asap as it's only going to be order in only, no spare stock will be available to purchase. This sounds the same more or less as what I'm reading here, definitely worth getting your order in if you really want the parts I'd say.

Bear in mind this my local distributor who takes the risk on importing as well. Not saying someone like KinPinGames would be all that worried. I don't begrudge that personally as I'd want people putting a deposit down, the total cost here for the topper, XL screen, and GI lighting is $1900 to me.
Been thinking about selling my deadpool premium and getting a royal. Didnt know they werent available just yet. I love those new rgb effects and the new dmd.
How has build quality/playfield quality been with cgc? Ive only owned sterns so far but have played plenty of jjp as well to compare.

For what it’s worth I think build quality is great. My AFMr LE, MBr SE were both great and held up. My MMr so far seems of the same quality.

Yeah same, I own MMR and AFM LE and the build quality is superb. I also owned a reasonably nice example original MM that I could be bothered putting in the elbow grease to do up with LED's and few other imperfections on the cabinet, so I bought an MMR. Zero regrets, cannot pick any difference in how they play.
Will warranty cover burnt out GI LEDs after less than 100 plays?
If not were do I get them? They are a wired possibly propriety thing?

I believe it is an amount of time issue, not how many plays.

Looking for advice:
On my MMR, I finally lit all the blue inserts and the last ball drained one shot after I lit the last blue insert, Castle Crusher. So my question is:
With all blue inserts lit and a ball resting on the flipper, what is the sequence to start BFTK and what does it take to complete BFTK?
I know I can look this up online but rather hear from pinheads that have completed BFTK. Thanks!

Is that through Wayne? I got quoted $400 for rgb kit, $999 for xl display and $999 for the topper, I couldn’t justify $1k for the topper but ordered the other 2.

I picked up a 2015 MMR LE #675 NIB. It's a pinnacle moment for me. I want to set it up right for lots of play and longevity.
What are your recommendations to ensure my playfield stays protected, and perhaps defend against other common pitfalls.
Full set of CLiffy's are on order. Thinking about adding mylar under pop bumpers, rollover switches, near slingslots, under ball drops, shooter eject, etc....and then a few coats of wax.
Thank you in advance for your thoughts and suggestions.

This thread is long on past advice, if you haven't already, read through the past posts - it's all in there. I've given quite a bit of experienced advice already as have many others. Good luck!
Does anyone know (maybe Lloyd) if the color dots chip avail for the new classic run will be “updated” like the SE or Royal edition or in line with prior standard run from a few years ago?

According to the CGC website (features matrix) the HD Color Upgrade is available for 400$. It does specify HD, not just color upgrade...

Quick question, if the MMR original runs display dots were compared to ColorDMD, what would be the equivalent - ColorDMD LCD or LED? I have a guess but wanted to be sure...

I thought they were all hd when upgrades. The dot images all have quite a bit more detail. It's just not the big screen on the first run remakes.

Here's some pics with a couple great mods from LERMODS. Looks awesome, and the undercab lighting is really just perfect on this pin. It is interactive and matches what the speaker lights are doing for color and intensity, and it really adds something special to an already special pin! The trough light is also interactive with the GI lighting.
Excellent stuff Lermods and was easy to install both mods using existing connectors inside the pin, took about 10 minutes.

I’ve bought all three of the remakes and no protective film on any. I’ve been buying new games since the mid 90’s and can’t remember ever having it on any of my games though.
