Quoted from Kkuoppamaki:Same here. Just created a ticked and heard back from them like in a snap. New GI LED is on its way, thank you CGC!!
Out of curiosity, did they tell you what kind of bulb it is?
Quoted from Pimp77:Not sending a power cord to UK buyers is pretty lame.
Maybe this will lure o-din back to Pinside ...
Quoted from rx3:I know I'll probably get a lot of thumbs down, but between all the problems I'm reading about in this thread, and the non-deliveries to people that have been fully paid for months now, I am SO glad I cancelled my order a long time ago and I will never buy a machine from PPS. Ever.
You guys are pretty tolerant to put up with this BS. Especially, the non-delivery of fully paid games. Pretty sure this would be a criminal matter if they don't refund your money or give you a machine immediately upon your request. I don't think any of you would put up with this had it been for a car or TV purchase from a dealer. Why is this acceptable in pinball? I don't get it.
You may get some thumbs down because you posted this in a thread designed for gathering specific problems (and hopefully solutions) for MMR owners. If there's not a thread for crowing about canceling a preorder you could probably start one, or post this on one of the less specific MMR threads.
Quoted from Mike_J:Why is this thread in the Restoration forum?
Well looking at the post just before yours, we've now moved on to discussing high end restorations for MMRs years from now!
Quoted from viper001:Folks here seem to care a lot about what the high end restorers think about such issues. If someone showed up with one of these diffuser games and wanted it restored down the road I can't image they would take all that off and polish it and put it back on. I'm guessing they would insist on a playfield to swap in or they wouldn't touch it. And then you have all the different degrees of issues associated with this (games that should have the kit and never got it, etc). For folks to have to accept this there should have been some compensation, that they are paying the same (very high) full price is pretty hard to believe, even for this industry.
Of course we should all be happy if anyone still gives enough of a s#@t about pinball in twenty years to be doing high end restorations! None of which has much impact on how people that were shipped defective playfields with under-inked inserts should feel about it today.
Quoted from Mike_J:I am sure CGC would rather it appear in the Restoration forum as opposed to the main forum would it would likely receive greater exposure.
So ... The illuminati?
Quoted from o-din:Just out of curiousity what part of that warranty covers all the playfield defects we've seen so far?
There's the o-din we'd been missing!
Quoted from o-din:I am going to pass on any $8000 remakes but may pony up the $30 so I can get a diffuser sheet as a wall hanger.
Maybe CGC saw your earlier post on this and is just responding to market conditions by offering them for sale ...
Quoted from o-din:Here is a cheaper way to prepare yourself.
If you think that's going to protect you from nut punches, you're sadly mistaken. I think you're looking for one of these:
Quoted from Riles:"When running your fingernail across them, you can feel the clear material."
Solution: Stop running your fingernail across them.
Maybe they'll send him some complementary nail clippers and an emery board.
