We don't know what happened between owner 1 and 2... What you think they will use it as a canoe in transit between owners? Someone calls you with a defect on a pin that's within the warranty period from original purchase (1st day of warranty) you should honor it regardless of who owns it. If there is obvious signs of abuse, it does not matter if it's owner 1 or 100, warranty void.
