Williams, 1997With all of the speculation of oversold and a second run etc, please Please PLEASE, for the love of all that is good and pure, stop referring to an additional run of MMRs as "PRO" models! This isn't Stern and, frankly, I never understood the designation of "PRO" machines anyways... WOZ PRO anyone?
LE release: Limited Edition
Standard release: Standard
Now it's time to go and make some coffee and try and fight off this MMR hangover. 
It's not really going to be very limited anyhow from the sounds of it, if they end up doing standard models down the road...
What's going to be special on it to make it different from a later released standard model?
A plaque, and gold trim? Shaker motor? All that can be added, besides the plaque...
If they release standard models after the "LE's" they will essentially be the same game, and the LE will be totally meaningless...
I don't want to say Addams Family Gold here, but Addams Family Gold.
I kid tom, and I know what you mean, but is LE is still LE. As long as they stick to 1,000 only for plaques then they will still have that. Are Stern LE's that much different than Premiums aside from artwork and numbered plaques?
It's all subjective I suppose...

Today's LE's usually have something totally different done, like artwork, extra software/hardware features. Something that can't be "easily" replicated on a standard. That's what I personally consider makes it more of an LE..
I wish I had 9k or so to throw around right now, I would be right there with you getting one of these MM's as well!!
I can't speak for anyone else, but I've got a pretty good idea. Almost zero people ordered it because it was an LE. I think most realize that they would be making more than 1K if demand was there. Rick said as much by what he didn't say and how he didn't say it
