As for the video. Holy shit that's sweet. Up until now, I have been ambivalent to the remake, preferring the original. This is the equalizer and actually could compel me to seek out an mmr to own. Kudos.

I'm not savy on the tech but it was always my understanding it's an IP issue. If I understand correctly, ColorDMD skirts the ip issue because it colors the frames on the fly and doesn't alter the assets. If ColorDMD redrew the frames similar to what Chicago has done, they would be infringing on the ip. Therefore, ColorDMD will forever be limited to the originally rendered artwork. Again, I could be wrong but that's my understanding of it.
