I confirm my confirmation. 
Standard Plywood; quite nice. Already has holes and T-Nuts for shaker motor as well.

I don't notice anything when playing MMr, but then again the only original MM's I've played have always been fairly beat up. I suspect that if this is bothersome you're going to find similar issues on AFMr and would take a pass on it.
