Just spoke with Chicago Gaming about an open ticket on my MMr related to the credit dot error for date and time. It is supposed to be fixed via a code update. He mentioned that a code update to fix that and a few other issues would be released in about a month.

I asked if we may be surprised with the color update in that code release. He said that won't be coming as a code update but would be released as a kit that would be sold. I then mentioned that we were told that it would be free for those that purchased the Limited Edition version. He then said that no one from Chicago Gaming ever said it would be free. I told him that Rick from PPS said it at many of the conventions and he stated that Rick was not in a position to make that claim. He said the kit should be released in October but did not mention a price.

This is very disappointing!

Update: After seeing the Preview of the MMr colorization, I can understand why they need to charge for it. I just hope that it is a reasonable cost (a fraction of a ColorDMD as there is no new hardware required)! Cant wait to see this released!

I am glad I made this post as it seems to have encouraged CGC to release the preview!

Anything over $100 is too much...there is no hardware, just software...with CDMD we get a new display and can sell the old one plus the ability to move it between games. Anyone saying they will pay $300 is just giving them ideas that they can charge that and likely will.

Quoted from PaulCoff:

Can OP change the tittle of this thread?
“MMr - Bad news on Colorization - Update - No News on Colorization!”
Maybe something more encouraging, positive, or something plain vanilla?
I'm kinda on the fence regarding the whole matter, but it is development for pinball.

As requested!
