Quoted from wallybgood:

My son and I both got a chance to play the black MMr at Expo and afterwards both agreed that it plays the same as any original that we have ever played. I believe that the guys who bought one will be very happy.
Wally

That's coming from an existing MM owner. Thank you for sharing your experience.

For the people saying MMR doesn't look exactly like MM. No shirt!

Walk up to an MMR and look at the speaker panel. No Williams logo. OK it's not an original MM.

Who cares? What idiot would spend $8500 on MMR in hopes that it would fool people into believing it an MM? No one! We would just buy a MM if that was important.

I still don't think CGC is asking for too much $$ for MMR. Originals would still be stupid pricing if it wasn't for them.

Even though I cancelled long before coinmechgate, I am actually curious how many people actually cancelled because of that. I know I would have. It is the principle of the thing. There is a lot I can do with $14.

I considered it but knew the LE perks were worth more than $14.

Quoted from o-din:

I also considered that they were included with the sale price. In the end though, none of those perks warranted staying in at the $8000 price point. The plywood bottom doesn't make much difference, the
special trim became so watered down that stainless was the only real option, and a shaker can be installed at any time.

In your opinion what would an MM in new condition go for today?

MMR is new. Don't forget that you don't see MM in that condition.

With or without coinmechs ? (sorry, that door was just too wide open for smart-azz like me)

I don't think you understand. I'm serious when I say I considered canceling over that fiasco. Thought long enough about it and moved on. You can joke as much as you want. This is for my home. It's going to match my existing machines which also have no mechs.

Are you in on the MMR preorder?

Quoted from Kkuoppamaki:

He also added stuff after the announcement, leg protectors, improved cabinet bottom and finished inside of the cabinet. Original MM had none of these and they were add-ons that add value to the game. Would you like Rick to increase the price too?

The warranty was extended to 1-year instead of 6 months. The LE has a finished backbox (which I'm guessing some don't realize). The edges are smoothed instead of seeing wood grain. Personally I'm stoked about that. A perk you can actually see. This is a bitch to do yourself so I'm fine with it for free. I would have gladly gave 2 coin mechs to someone the finish the backbox for me.

In the end I feel the coin mech thing was an unfortunate miscommunication. If nothing else is removed from the final product I'm happy. I decided almost 4 months ago to move forward and forget about coin mech gate.
