bottom line is the market will decide what the FMV is. look, if people decide 8k is rubbish for this machine (or ANY new machine for that matter), you will see them being sold off in the second hand market at a discounted price. people will be all pissed off, pps will lose mad rep, and the next remake will either i) be released at a reasonable price or ii) not happen at all.
