AFM because of:
-Not spending the game shooting up the middle. More balance on things to do.
-No finnicky Merlin saucer which messes up strategy around trolls and multiball.
-Theme, but that's subjective.

I wanted to like MM more, since I have nostalgic memories playing it as a kid. But even still, I prefer AFM so that's saying something.

BUT Shadow is Brian Eddy's best game.

Quoted from Damien:

I think I found a really good analogy for this, but you'll have to be a Guy Ritchie fan to appreciate it.
MM vs. AFM is sort of like comparing Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels to Snatch. Both were created by the same director/designer, both have the same formula (pf layout/plot), and both have similar characters/parts and targets.
And as much as they are the same, they are also distinctively different, and stand firmly on their own. And when you're tasked with trying to pick the better one, you struggle. Because they both offer something different that makes them great, and something very similar that makes them legendary.
And with that said... I'm now considering one hahahahahaha!

Which is Snatch and which is Lock Stock?

While I love both, I think that MM is too reliant on the castle for high scores.

How high can the jackpots on MM’s stacked multiball and castle multiball get and how do you increase them? For the stacked multi, I know the more inserts you like the better.

AFM also has strobe multiball which is another advantage.

Quoted from Damien:

BUT... MM has Barnyard Multiball

How often do you play that one?

Good point. I think I've done it 2-3 times. Not easy to get to!

We need to get Brian Eddy back for one more!!!!

Speaking of Eddy pins, I still think The Shadow trumps both AFM and MM.

Quoted from chrisnack:

I've had MMr for about 1.5 years and AFMr since November. I won't get rid of MMr it's the better game long-term, more to do and better shots/humor. I could part with AFMr if i had to. I'm limited to 4 machines by the wife, so likely that AFMr will move out at some point as 2 slots are more or less permanent. MMr and Sinbad.

Why does your wife limit you to four machines?

Regardless of which you pick here, Brian Eddy has raised the bar possibly even too high for himself. His Stern game will be very interesting to see...

When is it expected?

Quoted from shacklersrevenge:

Everyone always says “Tina Fey Tina Fey Tina Fey” nobody ever talks about Bobcat Goldwait being one of the trolls...

Is that true?!
