So I have been playing MM at the arcade closest to me every sunday for the past few weeks. Its my favorite pin. I play it on the emulators, and YES I know the emulators are not the same, but the MM at my local arcade is just killing me. The outlanes are just dead zones, if it bounces right or left of the slingshot triangles, I'm screwed. It's down the outlane 90% of the time.

Looked closer today and learned something new: The outlane size is adjustable. I'm sure to anyone who has a Bally/Williams at home, this is not new (also saw it on Cirqis Voltaire)... but the ones at my arcade are set super-open. This arcade has pin tourneys frequently. So I guess my question is: Is there a 'factory' or 'regulation' setting for this?

I know my operator needs to recoup the wear on the machine and prolly paid a princely sum to pick up this pin given its new to her in the last year. So it's 4 tokens to play and set at a ridiculous difficulty. Multiball ball counts are gimped (2 for castle and only 3 multiballs for 3 madnesses or more, not two)... Someday I'd like to beat the game; is there etiquette for asking the op to change the settings?
