Any estimates on prices yet? Looks really good

#7 4 years ago

Are they all chromed? Any chance of getting polished brass?

#8 4 years ago

Swords are a mix of brass and chrome.
The shield will be chrome.
Could do some start button shields in Brass anyone else interested?

Pricing added at the to the top.

#9 4 years ago

I'm interested but I don't see the pricing.

#12 4 years ago

someone needs to make a start shield mod that fixes the art issue...it's so off center and so silly they didn't correct this when remaking.

#13 4 years ago

I debated on that but it would have to be huge and could only work on mmr.

I would do the entire bundle in chrome since I'm getting the stainless trim. I'm in if you offer that as an option.

Is it possible to change the flipper rubbers with the Swords in place? in the pictures it looks like the Hilt sits over the edge of the flipper slightly? I'm thinking if they need to be removed to change the flipper rubbers that they would loose their stickiness?

#25 3 years ago

Rubbers will clear swords without removing.

I really like the flipper mods....but don't expect the adhesive that they come with to work.

I ended up using 1/16 thick automotive trim double-sided tape on mine. They haven't come off since.

The flipper mod is one of the coolest mods ever...highly recommend!!!

#27 3 years ago

Same thing happened to mine - kinda disappointing. Is there a brand name for the auto trim tape?

#28 3 years ago

It's made by 3M.

Any auto parts store should have it. It's 1/2 inch wide, 1/16th thick. Gray in color and had a red release liner.

The stuff works great for mounting mods...the mods can be removed with some work.

I've been using this tape on all kinds of stuff, both pinball related and not.

Good deal - thanks!

Thanks for the feedback about the adhesive, I'm going to order them anyway and will look for the double sided tape.

You wouldn't happen to have the 3M part # on the package??

No, sorry I don't have the part of the package that had the part number. I only kept the round clear plastic "tub" that was over the tape.

Sorry to resurrect this old thread but I'm curious how others have managed to get the swords to adhere to the flippers. I've tried just about every adhesive I can think of including 3M tape, super glue, epoxy, and contact cement. It seems the swords always come loose after a small number of plays. I've even tried sanding the flipper contact surface and the underside of the swords to create more adhesion but still nothing works. Any ideas?

#37 2 years ago

We used the best mass marketed 3M product offered but I have had a few say they had issues.
I can send you another tape just pm me. This stuff is very thin and sticks to plastic great, I can mail you some tape to try. We are just under 25 sets of swords left then they are extinct.
