I agree with this. Once the excitement has subsided and people realize what they are REALLY getting for $8K, the originals will be worth what they always were.

I almost bought one, but once I saw the pics of the CPU board and under playfield I decided that it wasnt anything that I was interested in. There is still alot to be seen with the repros, no details were released before the pre-order was filled.... I believe that this was intentional. I would be much more likely to buy another original at a discounted price from a collector getting a new one.

Frankly, value is irrelevant to me.... its one of my favorite games. It wasn't and still isn't going anywhere!

And I'm not anti repo at all, I think its good for the hobby.

I am just surprised that the community in general are not concerned with the details of these reproductions. Especially with how this forum normally criticizes every detail of every machine built.
