Hi all,
I have a Medieval Madness where the castle gate has been hit so many times that the gate has worn down to the bare metal (silver metal is showing through the black). So I'd like to restore it so it's more durable.
Here's a few options I've been thinking about:
Prime it with black primer then black paint: not sure that's going to work under such impact.
Powder coating: not sure if powder coat would do any better
Colored epoxy: haven't done much research into this. Anyone with experience that can comment on durability?
Plasti-dip: might lessen damage to the ball as well, can always remove it if it doesn't work out. Anyone with experience that can comment on this idea?
Vinyl decal: black durable sticker to go over gate; can always remove it if it doesn't work out.
Any other options or ideas?
Any ideas what might look good, be more durable, yet thin enough to allow normal door operation?
I'm aware that aftermarket/new gates are available, but trying to see if I can make do with what I have. The gate is in good shape otherwise.
